Stopped in on a whim, so happy we did. The bartender was friendly and welcoming. The bar is “retro” and charming. It’s obvious that there’s a solid group of regulars who care about the bar and the people who visit. They’ve got a hall you can rent, which.. maybe I’ll do in the future. Overall, if you’re looking for a cool little spot to visit, it’s here. Clean, friendly and decent prices.

I went to gas lite the first time this past Saturday with a few people.
I left my car there just a little bit past midnight because I had a few shots there and the bartender was making my drinks a lot stronger than I knew. I didn’t want to drive so to be safe, I left my on the side of bar in their parking lot.
The following day, yesterday, Sunday. I had a family emergency happen, which I will leave off there. So, I did not get my car like I intended, until Monday. I receive a call Monday from the police around noon that my car had been left there for over 2 days so I was left with an abandoned vehicle ticket – – the owner claimed lied and told them it was over 2 days, which then classifies as an abandoned car ticket. The cops told me, the owner mentioned wanting to tow it, but it would be at his expense, so that is why I think they went the abandoned car route.
It wasn’t there more than a day and a half at the point that the owner called the cops. I was parked on the side where there is gravel, no parking lines, but my car was not in the way. Plenty other spots. The owner also has to know exactly when I left, he has cameras, bar tabs to see my name didn’t leave until after midnight. My car is a very nice suv, it’s clearly not abandoned. Plus when I called him (after calling the bar twice, leaving a voicemail, and messaging this Facebook page) and spoke to him over the phone around 1 PM today to explain the situation, he answered the phone no hi, nothing, “is this the girl who decided to leave her car for a few days in my lot” with the rudest, condescending tone.
I explained to him that it was the last thing on my mind with everything I was dealing with and went into details of the family emergency issue that came up yesterday and that I’d get my car soon as soon as work was done around 5pm before the packers played.
Outside of all of this the drinks were overpriced and it smelled terrible in there so I guess it’s not a loss that we will never come back here again. Plenty more places I’d rather give my business to, plus, it seems like his priorities are more concerned with his parking lot rather than someone drinking and driving. Among other things that can come into play in someone’s life.
It is very unfortunate, but I nor any of my family members/friends will step foot in there again. The way he handled all of that was not cool, along with the ticket I will now be fighting in court because of him. I don’t want to give anyone business that cares more about their parking lot than their customers well being.

This is your typical corner bar with not a lot going on. They have a bar top with about 20 bar stools around it. It does have a decent amount of tables around the bar with a few seats for people to sit at each table. They also have a little step up stage with room for maybe a small band. They have a few tvs around the bar with whatever sports games going on. They have 5 slot machines a pool table and darts. I didn’t notice any food but maybe they have something like frozen pizza. The drinks are priced like a corner bar, pretty cheap. The service is pretty good. Overall a good bar to get together for a cheap drink and maybe somewhere to watch the game.

Worst experience ever! Bartender acted like it was a hassle to serve us. My wife had to go to bar when she came out to take the table next us order. Nobody else was there outside of barside. We will never go back and I’ve lived in Milwaukee 40 years. Hope they go out of business!!

I’m new to the area & was looking for a new neighborhood bar to attend. It’s very much a small group of regulars in there. I almost felt like I was invading a private party. One side of the bar is way too close to the wall and impossible to get to your chair without everyone on that side get up & let you out. The bartender was polite but didn’t do much to engage me in conversation to make me feel comfortable and break the ice to initiate conversation with other guests. I have nothing “bad” to say about the place but just not very inviting.

This bar is fairly small, but has an “at home” feel about it. The bartender is very friendly, and there is enough going on there to keep you entertained. Pool is only 75 cents. My roommate and I live down the road a little bit, so it is only 2 minutes away.
With a friendly barkeep, a cheers-esque feel, and a cheap pool table, this bar is one of my favorites. Highly recommend giving it a chance.

For a bar, this place is a very nice neighborhood place. The bartender is so nice and the patrons were welcoming. I would give this place a 5 but there was Limited tap selection, no food, does not accept cards. Average prices. Enough tvs to enjoy the game. With the size and tables in the place i would have thought they served food but I will be back to have a beer or several. Thank you.
