This is my first time going to Gary woo with my daughter we didn’t know what to try they have a large menu the restaurant is very clean and the atmosphere is very pleasant we had shrimp fried rice with broccoli added and she had the crab Rangoon, and when I tell you, the crab Rangoon is a 10 out of 10 that is the best crab Rangoon, I’ve ever had in a very long time it’s cute it’s not overly sweet they were fried to perfection. The fried rice was so flavorful most Chinese restaurants have bland rice nowadays it’s hard to find good rice. The rice was definitely a 10 out of 10 I would recommend and I’m definitely coming back .

Decided that since most of the family wasn’t home, l could enjoy some good Chinese with my kids. Picked up a container of chicken lo mein, beef and broccoli dinner combo – with house salad and soup, asked about extra crunchies and duck sauce. Well the kid didn’t say they charged for that, in the past they have not, he just gave me back less change than I expected.
The soup was the best part as usual, very flavorful.
The house salad came with a yellow water that had no flavor and was all stems. The lo mein was very hot and fresh, but was lacking in flavor, the beef and broccoli had the same problem, looked great tasted like it was missing every seasoning it was supposed to have.
They no longer have any coupons except the 10% for cash discount.

Gary Woo Express has been on list to try forever but we only just made the trip. It’s a humble West Boca takeout spot with old-school vibes: red walls, laminated menus, celebrity photos taped to the wall (yes, Adam Sandler), and a couple of tables if you eat in. Not much atmosphere—but that’s not the draw.
The food is unapologetically American-Chinese, and it nails that nostalgic New York flavor. We had crispy shrimp balls (deep-fried shrimp paste wrapped in noodles—fantastic), roast pork fried rice (great char siu, wok hei, not greasy), and a standout shrimp with lobster sauce (rich, eggy, loaded with ground pork, not watered down). Portions are huge and prices fair—three dishes plus a soda ran just under $50.
They also offer a dim sum section on the menu, which we haven’t tried yet—but based on what we ate, there’s promise.
It’s not fancy, curated, or modern—but it’s the kind of takeout Chinese many of us grew up with and can’t seem to find anymore. Eat it there while it’s hot. It’s worth it.

I’ve been a faithful customer of Gary Woo for many years. It has always been of good quality and delicious. My favorites are: egg roll, fried won ton, boneless BBQ pork, fried rice, general Tso chicken, vegetable lo mein and the pork dumplings.
Prices are high for a take out but portions are abundant and quality is very good.

Simple Pleasures
Finally got here after living near this location for years and years. We were pleasantly surprised! The Pepper Steak was super tasty and the sauce was very savory.
The Beef with Mushrooms and Pea-pods was very fresh and savory too!
The Sweet and Sour Chicken was nicely breaded and not heavy on the oil either.
And I just love the red sweet & sour sauce with the pineapples peppers and onions in it!
For a family of 4 we only bought 3 Small size dishes and it fed all of us perfectly.
They also gave us a large size of white rice too!
We are looking forward to doing take out again here very soon. And our very grateful for the quality Chinese food!

My only complaint is the price as risen quite a lot and to feed 4 adults and 2 kids it cost $75….
So if your looking for a cheaper route, get smaller portions, and skip the apps.
Oh and if your a Veggie Lo Main fan you’ll love it here! It’s amazing!!

I absolutely do not recommend this place. I ordered chicken with vegetables, and what they served was definitely not chicken. I mentioned it to the manager, and he insisted it was chicken. I know chicken, and this was some kind of paste with a texture similar to chicken, but it was far from the real thing. When I asked for teriyaki sauce, they said they didn’t have any—surprising for a Chinese restaurant.
I also ate at the restaurant and was given small, flimsy plastic utensils that were barely 3 inches long, more suited for kids than adults. Overall, a disappointing experience. Avoid this place if you’re looking for real food and a decent dining setup.

Most Chinese places look like an 80s time capsule dust included. This place was clean there are pictures for every meal type. And lunch specials are worth the value. Ordering was fast and less than ten minutes had my food. I was surprised by the size of the soup and the egg roll. Even the dish for the sauce to my sweet and sour chicken was larger than some of the places I’ve ordered soup from in the past. I was only in this area for work for the day but glad I went in for lunch. So if your a neighbor come grab lunch. Don’t expect much from People who only post 2-3 reviews. Thanks Google

Craving New York style Chinese fast food since they left the north east. This is the first time in 20 years that I was able to order the delicious fried chicken wings and poured fried rice that I loved so much as a kid. The staff is super friendly and they give you a discount for paying with cash. Highly recommend.
