The food is always great. Christmas Day it was a buffet which included beef tenderloin, trout, smoked pork tenderloin, turkey, macaroni and cheese, green beans, carrots, mashed potatoes, oyster, shrimp and muscle bar, along with fruit and salad bar. The staff is superb with Mario, Carleah and Carlos, The Head Man In Charge. Thank you for a pleasant meal and atmosphere. Merry Christmas!! From the Stewart | Stevens Group at Benchmark Realty.

This is a 5 star with some caveats…it’s considerably more expensive than equivalents in the area. However, our steaks were cooked very well, and that’s all you really care about. The potato and bread were really good. My cocktail was a little light on the alcohol, but overall, this was a really positive experience. Note: you need a reservation, especially on weekends. But if you forget, you can eat at the bar or high tops w same menu.

Our evening at Garrison Oak Steakhouse was nothing short of exceptional from the moment we walked through the doors. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance between upscale elegance and warm Southern comfort, creating an inviting space where we could truly relax and enjoy ourselves. The soft lighting, polished wood accents, and subtle background music set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience.
Frank, our server, elevated the night to another level with his professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality. He greeted us with a friendly smile, offered thoughtful recommendations, and demonstrated impressive knowledge of the menu. His timing was flawless—checking in often enough to ensure everything was perfect, yet giving us plenty of space to savor our meal and conversation.
The steaks were cooked precisely to order, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Every detail, from the appetizers to the sides and drinks, reflected quality and care. Frank made us feel valued and appreciated throughout the entire evening, turning a great meal into a truly memorable experience. We left already looking forward to our next visit.

The staff was amazing!!
Restaurant was dimly lit to provide a sensual ambiance, although it is connected to the casino it did not smell like smoke. The food was brought up quickly and everything was top knotch. I will say I wish the entrees came with sides but you have to buy it separately. Complimentary dinner rolls and butter was a pleasant treat. You just order their desserts!!

This was from my visit on July 10.
Pls bring back the old chicken piccata recipe. The way it is now served with boxed noodles just does not make it the best in town, as it once was! Definitely an improvement in food and service though as compared to our experience in June.
We will try again to give them an opportunity to improve. The steak was good as usual. For the price, I expect it to be good. Mashed potatoes were good. The Brussels sprouts were very good. I had a cocktail – the lucky cherry daiquiri- that was yummy! Service – Carleah was awesome. She knows her cuts of beef for sure! She always made sure we were good. Such a delight to talk with! Very welcomed by Ian and Rhonda as well as their other male Host (I forgot his name – my apologies). Rhonda always greets us with a smile and a hello. Staff is great! Just bring back the old chicken piccata and it would be perfect! Thanks again for reading and following!

Been here a couple times…food has always been amazing with a very romantic ambiance. Me and my boyfriend decided to go here for Valentine’s Day. Made a reservation and was looking forward to going for weeks. Unbeknownst to us, they had a “limited menu” for Valentine’s Day. Whoever chose the items on this menu chose terribly. It is a steakhouse and had ONE steak option, which was an 8oz filet. The “appetizers” were terrible options, extremely small portions and came cold. The “jumbo shrimp cocktail” came with TWO shrimp. This experience was extremely disappointing for us. We paid $75 per person for food we didn’t even want, but had to choose. Had they kept the full menu they would have probably made more! Moral of the story: on a normal day the place is great. We were extremely disappointed on Valentine’s Day and unfortunately we won’t be back for a while.

We were truly looking forward to dining at Garrison Oak, even making a 3-hour drive for what we hoped would be a memorable meal. Unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations.

While our waitress was tentative, kind, and one of the few bright spots of the evening, the food and overall experience left much to be desired. We waited 19 minutes past our reservation time despite the restaurant not being crowded. The host did accommodate our request for a booth instead of a cramped table in the center of the room, and we appreciated that courtesy.

As for the food:
• The 10oz filet, ordered medium, arrived cold, overly bloody, and was not a proper filet mignon cut by any stretch.
• The mac and cheese had decent flavor, but like much of the meal, it was cold and served with unmelted cheese sitting on top, as our photos show.
• The corn brûlée was cold, pureed, and lacked even basic seasoning—no salt, no flavor.
• The bread was also cold and uninspired.
• The only truly enjoyable item was the loaded mashed potatoes, which were warm, well-seasoned, and satisfying.

Sadly, after an unsatisfying and underwhelming meal, we found ourselves stopping for fast food on the drive home. We left disappointed, especially after such a long trip with high hopes.

Garrison Oak has potential, but our experience was far from what we expected from a restaurant of this caliber.

Decided to try out the steakhouse, because I was sent a mailer coupon. It was amazing from start to finish. Carlos was friendly and seated us after telling us about all the new items offered. Mario was our waiter and he was the friendliest server I’ve had in quite some time; he engaged in banter and truly made my husband and I feel at ease with our dining experience. They start you off with delicious rolls and my husband ordered a crab cake appetizer, garlic jumbo shrimp and brussel sprouts along with a smoky old fashioned (recommended by Carlos) . I had the prime steak tips with mashed potatoes and corn creme brule. Mario brought us cheesecake for dessert We paid $63 after a $50 off coupon. Everything was over the top delicious ; we are looking forward to going here again in the future!

We enjoyed a nice time tonight and enjoyed the Valentine’s Day menu. The steak is as always so flavorful and tender. It was holiday busy and limited seating so you’ll need reservations. Friendly and courteous service by all.
