The food and service were great. I started with the pretzel bites, which tasted fresh and came out hot. The main was the Chicken and Wadfles. Also very good. They have a great selection of beers and also a killer Bloody Mary.

Decent food but nothing special, what really did it for me was that they brought me Lipton tea, the cheapest tea bag you can ever get.

Wonderful – we needed a good pub in the Village! Stopped in for a late lunch. The cocktails are delicious and the food was inventive, fresh, and well executed. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back!

I really love the food here, especially the Brie pizza and the live music. The servers are all amazing. My only complaint is about the management. I was here a few nights ago enjoying my food, until I kept seeing the same manager coming around. It looked like he was picking on a server and I ruined the mood for me. It felt a bit unprofessional and I wish they would be nicer to the servers. My server did a great job and held up the dining area very well without needing any help. I would like to come back if the management improves.

Had dinner with a friend and the food was excellent! We were here in October so there were some Oktoberfest-inspired specials. The pretzel bites were fantastic. I had the mac and cheese, which was out of this world, and my friend had the crispy fish sandwich, which had a perfectly zesty dressing and a nice, light piece of fried fish. Nothing was too heavy. The cocktails were also excellent. I’ve had many espresso martinis in my time, and this was up there. Went great with the pretzel bites. The pear martini was also great with food. The cheesecake and the tiramisu you could tell were made in-house.

It was a bit louder than I’d have liked; we had to should a bit to hear each other, but it wasn’t unbearable. I just wish they’d seated us in a better spot. There were plenty of options available and they kind of stuck us right next to the kitchen/bathroom area. There’s definitely a preference for larger parties, I think.

Service was great! Our server was attentive and when we asked for advice on the food, I could tell they were honest and not trying to upsell us on anything.

Would definitely recommend if you’re in Brookline. It’s a bit removed from the busiest section of Coolidge Corner so the area is a bit less inundated by tourists and college students.

The server Eddie was amazing, the food was great we got the Burger and it was honestly the best burger I’ve had in Brookline. Great selection of beers and lovely looking restaurant. Will be visiting again soon.

Literally some of the worst service I’ve ever had we had the bartender check in with us in the dining room more then we saw our serve, couple that with a Cesar wrap that they put spinach in because they ran out of Romain and when given the choice between Kale and Arugula they randomly gave spinach, and a warm poke bowl because the rice was hot, made for a horrible experience. We sat without water for 35 minutes and it took almost 40 minutes to get our first round of drinks at an almost empty restaurant. Will not be returning.

The Garrison House is a nice restaurant in Brookline for a night out. We made reservations the night prior and were able to easily book a time that was convenient. During our night there in August, they had the large windows open, which is nice when the weather isn’t too bad out.

The food arrived very quickly and wasn’t bad, but didn’t stand out too much. For the quality of the food, it may be a little overpriced. The pizza was slightly bland, but the burger had a nice sauce for flavor and was cooked correctly. It’s definitely worth checking out, but you may end up paying a little more for less. Our total bill for an appetizer and two entrees was around $65.

Food: Double breaded fried chicken with garlic herb aioli, house bread & brown butter pickles, butter lettuce, potato roll; French fries; JALISCO PUNCH
(tequila blanco, lemon, pineapple, simple syrup)

Ambiance: Casual, spacious venue.
Parking: Street meter parking available.
Pricing: A little pricey.
Food (flavors): The fries were really crunchy and perfectly salted. I really enjoyed the french fries. The chicken sandwich was cooked to perfection. It was sweet and savory with the addition of the bbq sauce. I truly loved all of the flavors in the sandwich.
Portion size: Medium-sized portion. Fulfilling portion.
Drinks: It was pretty sour with a hint of sweetness because of the pineapple juice.
