We were in New Castle for a soccer game this weekend and came across Garrison Deli. We are so glad we found this deli. The best Reuben, Chicken salad, and Tuna salad sandwiches we have ever had. The store was very clean, had a wide variety of beverages, amazing food, and super friendly staff. We had a great conversation with one of the workers about soccer and told them we would definitely be back again next weekend. If you are ever in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in. I can’t talk enough about how great this place is. I knew we found a gem when we order a Reuben and they freshly sliced the meat in front of you. 10/10. Great job.

We have been back several times and the staff and food are amazing. Great and very clean store. I wish I lived closer to this amazing deli. Cheers

Really enjoyed this place but they are never open – deli but open 8am-4pm. Who can stop for dinner by 4pm? Super Bowl Sunday closed at 4pm. Food is great but there hours suck. Sign on the door say open and Google say open but they are not

My new go to spot for breakfast sandwiches in the morning. Steak, egg and cheese is awesome, so is the scrapple. One of the few places you can go on a Sunday and actually get a fresh roll, that’s rare nowadays. Owner is the nicest guy and the places is immaculately kept. This place deserves your business.

We are in the area for a two-day sporting event and were looking for somewhere to pick up some sandwiches. After reading local reviews we decided to visit Garrison Deli. This place did not disappoint. We ordered two sandwiches, potato salad and drinks, altogether about $30. The cold cuts were sliced to order and sandwiches made fresh. The roast beef club was stacked high and was tasty. The Italian sub had crispy shredded lettuce, tomatoes and thinly sliced onions – absolutely fantastic. See pictures below. Would highly recommend to anyone driving by and will come back again when in Delaware!

4.9 rating on google maps. I was expecting the 4.9 to be an inflated rating by The Garrison Apartments residents that regularly visit the Garrison deli. I am very happy to say this is a good little spot. It was early so I got a Scrapple, egg and cheese sandwich. Two eggs and a good amount of scrapple. I like that they slice the scrapple thin and then double stack it on the sandwich. The Scrapple adds a lot of crispiness to the sandwich. It was a one man show the day I went. He may not be the fastest but he does a very good job and the regulars seem to like him. I almost forgot $5.99. You know I like that.

I ordered an italian sub with extra onions and extra lettuce with salt pepper and oregano. The sub was super salty and barely had any lettuce or onions on it not even that a regular sub should have. I was highly disappointed. I used to get subs here all the time and it was one of my favorite places, but now I was told it’s under new ownership. I only ate a few bites of the sub and threw the rest away, it was nasty. I didn’t feel like calling to complain or get a new sub as they should already know how to make a sub. I definitely won’t be back there. I’ll go to Jersey Mike’s as they’re the best!

Excellent rueben just as the reviews said! We had pickles on our sandwich but were hoping for a pickle spear. Prepared in front of us fresh! Delish and definitely worth the detour off the interstate to have a well prepped sammy.

Fabulous deli. We were warmly greeted when we arrived. Great selection of sandwiches. We ordered a cheesesteak and a turkey sandwich. They weee both great! The cheesesteak had a ton of meat on it. I got it with fried onions and mushrooms. It was divine. Highly recommend this deli!!
