This place should have one or two Michelin stars! Absolutely incredible food, and incredible service!

Chef Kuba is a master at his Kraft and everything was absolutely beautiful. I came here for my birthday and it was literally one of the best meals I’ve had in my entire life.

If you are looking for a Michelin star experience, this is the place you want to be in Austin. All the ingredients are the best of the best and everything is so beautifully plated and so artfully made it’s almost too pretty to eat… Almost!

An absolutely wonderful experience all around! 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Garrison is the place to celebrate any special occasion in ATX! It’s in the Fairmont and you will need reservations. Pricey but worth it. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented with excellent service. We went to celebrate our 34th anniversary and they wowed us from the start with complementary champagne, and an amuse-bouche – all very delicious. We shared the almost Caesar salad. I had the lamb, and my husband had the grouper. Both were outstanding. We also got the sweet potato as a side dish. We finished with a cheese plate and complementary sweets. Such an amazing treat for the taste buds.

If this place doesn’t have Michelin stars they are wrong! I let the waiter decide on my food. I started off with some delicious octopus with some seasoned cucumbers, grapes and amazing green sauce! Then came the Lamb before I knew it I was in food bliss with this lamb! Worth every penny but after a great meal you need the the desert my waiter chose the apple crisp that literally glittered with yummy flavors. You can go wrong with this place! I don’t normally include the bathroom experience but check the photos!

The evening began with a playful and aromatic welcome shot, a frothy, slightly tangy amuse-bouche that immediately set a sophisticated yet approachable tone for the meal. It was the perfect little palate opener: vibrant, fresh, and unexpected. Next came a duo of small bites: a delicate crispy chip topped with fresh tuna, roe, and avocado mousse, alongside a savory truffle profiterole. Both were exquisite in flavor and texture, the tuna dish was bright and oceanic, while the profiterole was rich and indulgent, offering a luxurious burst of umami. The crudo course that followed was one of the highlights. Presented with an artistic touch, the fish was impeccably fresh and balanced with light citrus notes, creamy dollops of sauce, and tender microgreens. It was light yet deeply satisfying, an excellent example of letting quality ingredients shine. Of course, no fine meal would be complete without exceptional bread, and Garrison delivered. Their house-made sourdough was served with a butter that was beautifully marbled with a hint of sweetness and tangy sauce, a simple pleasure executed with precision. The main course showcased Garrison’s expertise in meat: perfectly cooked beef that was deeply flavorful with a stunning pink center. Accompanied by beautifully crisped and piped hasselback-style potatoes and a luscious sauce, the dish felt hearty yet refined, pure satisfaction on a plate. Finally, dessert brought artistry and a playful nod to celebration. The chocolate and citrus dessert was a feast for both the eyes and the palate, combining rich chocolate, fresh orange segments, and edible flowers for a balanced, vibrant finish. A side of classic flan added an extra sweet note, smooth and perfectly caramelized. Throughout the evening, the wine pairings particularly the red Burgundy elevated the experience further, showing that Garrison not only excels at food but also at curating an overall dining journey.

We decided to try Garrison after reading the reviews. Walked by it many times inside the hotel but never had a meal here. I can honestly say it was one of the best dining experiences we have had. J.R. Took care of us and truly made us feel like we were the only table in the place. I can’t say enough about the service we received from everyone at the Garrison. The food was amazing, steak cooked and seasoned perfectly. Red fish was moist and flaky. And you have to try the “tator tots”!! Don’t let the name fool u!

The only item I wasn’t impressed was the pineapple brûlée and the sourdough dough bread that’s $$. Concept was playful but it is definitely not memorable.
The steak was perfect and the crispy octopus was amazing. Service was great.
