So I told my husband I wanted to try Garrett’s and he pulled it up on Google maps and we drove here. The menu didn’t look like what I saw online but I didn’t think much of it. Long story short, when I came to write the review, totally different Garrett’s than what I originally chose! Hahaha but you know what, not disappointed, we pass this bar all the time and I always wondered about it. So friendly and nice inside, even had kids menus! Our server was on top of things and was so nice to my kids. The food was great! My husband is still raving about the burger from a couple hours ago. I ordered the club wrap with fries and it was very big and very good. Two of my kids got the sliders and they loved them! My other one got chicken tenders and he ate them all and the other got a burger, and he loved it. All in all, our accidental restaurant choice turned into somewhere we will be coming back to!

The best burger I have had in a while! It was not a little piece of meat like most places try and sell you! The burger was perfect and bacon was crispy! Service was on point even when they clearly was busy.
Only part I could have done without was how loud the music was. You could not hear the person in front of you. You had to yell in there ear just to hear one and other.

I cannot believe these are the same owners as the diner. Back to back years stopping in for tip up town. By far the worst bar food in town. Ice cold French fries, burgers cooked to hockey pucks, several orders forgotten or messed up. Our waitress was working her tail off, beers were cold and cocktails were good. Not worth eating there. Two years in a row of dreadful food.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this restaurant! The waitress was great about checking in on us at the right times, the food came out fast, and the food was also so delicious. The onion rings were only $5 and they were the crispiest I’ve ever had. The pressure crack burger was also really good, and they give you a large amount of fries with it. Good for two meals for the price of one! They definitely give you a good amount of food for what they charge you. The only thing is, this is more of a bar than a grill type of restaurant so I would not recommend this place for families with children. But if you’re looking for a place to go with a couple friends or a night out, look no further! Also the rum and coke was delicious!

Don’t let the facade fool you, it’s not a biker bar. The food was very good, perch dinner and clam strip basket was delish and priced right. You can get a 20oz draft for cheap! Our server was very personable and quick. We’ve found a new goto in Houghton Lake!

My wife and I each ordered the infamous house-made, “Pressure Crack Burger” and it did not disappoint. The ingredients aren’t overwhelmingly wild but the flavor is excellent. I.e. 1/2 burger, bacon, Swiss and American cheese, mustard, mayo, lettuce. The setting itself was like a bar locals attend, with a corner group of guys near the business entrance that were quite rowdy, which was distracting for sure. Honestly, the one guy’s behavior (on memorial weekend in the evening, thus drunk) was uncalled for and the servers behind the bar showed the disapproval on their faces. My wife and I, however, were treated well, with timely but not obnoxious check-ins from our waitress. Overall the food was excellent! I also had a Sam Adam’s Cherry Wheat beer they had on tap, and it was top notch, alongside my burger and an enormous amount of crispy fries we were served. The music was a good mix of oldies rock and some Elvis mixed in. I was quite frustrated with the loud and obnoxious corner crowd, but that wasn’t really the bar’s fault. As a bar owner, I would’ve been on the edge of having the police remove the one man for disorderly conduct they way he was behaving, but that could be a bad look for business. I certainly wouldn’t let one instance on a very busy weekend distract from going back there in the future! To summarize: the food was awesome |the onion ring appetizer, to the burger and fries, and beer| the music was good, and the waitress (though dressed a bit edgy) was extremely kind and attentive, and the food wasn’t a very long wait. Definitely recommend!

Have not eaten at your establishment been told it was really good, my wife and my son stopped there today. The service was very bad they were told that you had a group of 200 bikers coming so make sure you only take a to top, just thought you should know I’m sure we will try again it’ll be nice to be treated properly just because I’m not on a motorcycle doesn’t mean my family doesn’t deserve to eat at your establishment and be treated right.

Bartender was awesome, food was so so… Chimichanga was all right it was just covered in like a salsa sauce which is I think wrong the cheese was shredded cheese which wasn’t even melted so yeah the food probably needs improvement I wouldn’t sell Mexican food if you do not know how to prepare it thank you
