My wife and I are Full time RVers and were out exploring the surrounding area. We stopped and had lunch here. I had the 10oz brisket with onion rings. The brisket needed sauce for flavor. The meat was still most and tender. Onion rings were great. There wasn’t any smoke ring on the so I’m thinking it was not smoked that day. My wife had the loaded nachos with shredded brisket, she really enjoyed them. We had a young man serve us and gave fantastic service, we don’t remember his name but thank you sir for making our visit more enjoyable.

Excellent smoked meats! Kids are not a big fan of the cheese sticks or fried pickle fries, pickle fries are a little spicy for them and cheese sticks are not the type they are used to. Love the ice cream and service is really friendly! Have been there multiple times and have never been disappointed.

THE best smoked chicken a n y w h e r e!!! Everything is good here. Great burgers and sides. Did I mention the smoked chicken?? It’s moist and tender, fall off the bone. Smoked all the way through. I don’t normally care for the skin but theirs is just short of crispy and very smoky. The smoked mac and cheese is awesome.

Small town BBQ joint that’s typical. Great food, friendly staff and clean dining area. I had the brisket hoagie and fries. Both were very good. Friends both had a bowl of chili and cinnamon rolls. Both said it was very good and it looked darn good too. I will be making an effort to drive the 40 miles to go back. Give it a shot.

First time visiting Mound City and Garrett’s famous bbq. We ordered the half chicken, pulled pork sandwich, and a burger. Side orders were potato salad and French fries. Everything was delicious. The service was fast, polite and friendly! We were asked if we needed utensils and napkins. I special requested minimal ice in the drinks and they willingly obliged me. Pick up at the window service was a bonus as we did not want to eat inside due to Covid. The food was great and the bbq sauce sweet and tangy. We were satisfied customers all around and we hope to return when we visit again.

They had a brisket sandwich on special today. It’s one of those sink your teeth into sandwiches and really good. Had a vanilla malt to go. It was made by the owner, she had one arm in a contraption to limit movement. Even with that handicap she still made the best drink it with a straw that I’ve had it a long time.

Great Service, great food, good prices. The smoked meats they have are to die for. I recommend the MESS. its a sandwich with pulled pork, baked beans and cole slaw all between soft buns. A backyard bar-b-que in one bite.

Family members burgers and pulled pork and the loaded baked potato was excellent. My pollock dinner was fried to a crisp, no good. The pork tenderloin sandwich was also fried about twice as long as it needed. Otherwise it was good.

Good sized portions. Something on the menu for everyone. Love the Garrett’s Club! Salads are great. Friendly, personal service with a smile. Great place to eat and chat.
