Social Profile:

For a taste of Italy in the heart of Brooklyn, look no further than Gargiulo’s. We are an authentic Italian restaurant serving delicious, traditional Neapolitan fare made from family recipes that have stood the test of time. Our food is unbeatable, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and cooked in-house with care. Gargiulo’s has been family owned and operated since 1907, making us a Brooklyn staple and a Coney Island favorite for over a century. We also offer private dining rooms that can host anywhere from 20 to 400 people. We also provide catering, so your next corporate meeting, party, wedding reception or event just got a lot tastier!

Tuxedo-clad waiters serve old-school Italian fare at this circa-1907 banquet hall-style eatery.

We had just arrived in town and needed a nice meal. Wow, did we hit the jackpot! Greeted at the door by the owner, atmosphere was gorgeous yet comfortable, food was amazing, Emilio, our server, was not only professional, but friendly, and made our dining experience that much more special. Very reasonably priced for this quality of food and level of service. On the way out we spoke to George, the bartender, I can’t wait to come back and try one of his espresso martinis! Thank you!

Woooow such an amazing experience! Stepping into this restaurant was like going back in time 60 years to a bygone era of the godfather and goodfellas. Tuxedo clad waiters and a dress code with classy 1960s era of fine dining was such a cool experience. Our waiter Jerry was soooo classy, funny, and friendly! He was able to explain everything in the menu with detail and gave us awesome recommendations.

The food was spectacular 60s era Italian dining with baked clams, veal Parmesan, and an absolutely massive seafood pasta platter that they served on still in the pan.

Absolutely spectacular gargiulo’s is a must visit when you come to Coney Island, grazie mille!

Chicken Scarpariello, Veal chop,
Pork chop, baked clams and mussels in red sauce were all delicious. Tiramisu for dessert was yummy.
All three of us enjoyed our meal as well as the cocktails and wine. Service was attentive and impeccable. It’s a great old place; very classy. I recommend it highly.
There is a dress code so if you go to Coney Island beach make sure you have change of clothes.

Held 60th Birthday, 10th Anniversary combined celebration. Had a great time. Service was outstanding and atmosphere perfect. Anthony and his team are to be commended. Reasonably priced also. Thanks again.

The food here is absolutely divine, and the atmosphere is simply electrifying! The live music adds a whole new level of excitement. It’s impossible to resist the urge to jump up and dance! We decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day here, and let me tell you, it was an exceptional experience. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Had reservations for a Mother’s Day dinner with my husband, children, MIL and Family. We get there and we are denied entrance. Why you ask? Because my boys had khaki shorts, button down collared shirt and loafers. They were dressed very nicely. They said sorry no shorts. Wt….?! As we are standing there in disbelief, a man walks out with dirty jeans, a dirty zip up jacket and ripped sneakers. I pointed to the vagabond looking dude and said, “oh but that’s allowed? My boys looked good, smelled good, and were dressed impeccably. They ruined my Mother’s Day! We had to drive all the way back home to Westchester
Bc all other restaurants were booked already. I can only tell from pics that the food looks Meh. In retrospect, I probably dodged a bullet. Restaurants like a Gargiulos get hype (if that) only bc of the iconic rep & name. Quality of food diminishes and they rely on their reputation. Honestly I can’t believe at this point the food is cooked fresh everyday. Just read some of the reviews.

Gargiulo’s has a very nice atmosphere (4 stars) that makes for a pleasant dining environment. My overall experience was a solid 4 stars, though I found both the food and the service to be more middle-of-the-road at 3 stars each. It’s a classic spot with a great feel, even if the meal itself was standard.

This was my first visit, for a fraternal function. I’ve had better food, but it was enjoyable. The drinks were strong, but I wasn’t driving so I’m not worried. The venue was beautiful, and the staff are friendly and accommodating.

My husband and I decided to try this place for a first try. We’re both big foodies and enjoy delicious foods and dining out. We ordered out. It was absolutely terrible. It was like Italian food made at a nursing home (if that’s even a thing), lol.

It’s been way too long since my last visit to Gargiulo’s. It was even better than I had remembered. We’ll worth the trip, you won’t be disappointed.
