Best stromboli in the tristate. Great family owned business. This place has some of the best pizza and bread sticks as well. The staff are super busy but will always take time to thank you for the business. It is a great way to get a nice warm meal and support local establishments. It is really easy to find using Google Maps with plenty of free parking.

We decided to give Gardo’s a try for dinner on a whim and ordered the Stromboli pizza and cheese bread. When I first opened the box I was in shock at how beautiful the pizza looked, truly a work of art! Needless to say, we were not disappointed. Not only was the service fast, they also offer delivery which gave us extra time to do a few things around the house. For those of you who love shopping local, be sure to check out Gardo’s for your next meal.

A sign by door said not to come in and to order from the car. So we got the number and called them to order a sandwich from the parking lot (while watching people come in and out of the shop). The sandwich was said to take 30 minutes… for a sandwich… and it is not like they were very busy, so that’s ridiculous. It was Sunday, so we expected to have the special $1 off like it said on the website but nope. They said they couldn’t do that because of covid, like that’s a real reason not to do specials. The food was a 3 star, the service was a 2 star, but how they run a business is a 1 star.

Gardo’s is Darmstadts’ best little secret. Pizza, sandwiches, bread sticks, salads, and appetizers are always top-notch. It’s one of my favorite pizza places in the area. They have always delivered a great product that is hot and delicious. Keep it up. We’ll be back again and again.

Lady answering the phones is rude. We had her repeat our order back to us to make sure it was correct after we reiterated it four times and it seemed like it would be incorrect.. She repeated back with the most annoyed and rudest attitude.. Of course our order was delivered and it was wrong. The pizza was mediocre, and wasn’t worth her attitude to order it.

Update (3/13/22) – updated review is pending, today we called and they are delivering to our location. Great Pizza! 4 Stars – only because delivery is sketchy, apparently we live just outside their 5 mile radius and it’s up to the discretion of whomever is delivering that day if they will deliver to us.

Best Stromboli sandwich I’ve ever had!! So glad I made the jaunt away from the highway for something other than fast food. It’s mainly carryout but they were kind enough to let me dine in and take a break as I drove cross country. Super friendly! Would definitely stop again.
