If you haven’t popped by for the Holiday Hot Cocoa, you’re missing out- the peppermint smells delicious. Got my usual Appalachian Smash Burger (which has pimento delicious cheese on it), Gardner’s always delivers! I need to expand out on the menu.

Gardner’s Frozen Treats has been my favorite local ice cream & gelati spot for years! This season, I have also really enjoyed eating at Gardener’s Grill. I’ve had several of the regular menu items and they have all been fantastic. The fries are incredible and pair nicely with a delicious dipping sauce. My personal favorite lately has been the chef’s special that releases on Fridays. The flavor combinations are incredible and it is fine dining food at an excellent price. I also enjoy the atmosphere at The Grill. The staff and chef are always very personable and fun to talk to!

I have been waiting to try this place since I moved here in 2020!!! WOW!! Absolutely delicious ice cream! They serve soft serve Hersheys Ice Cream and have several homemade flavors too! Talk about generous portions!! We also were served by the owner of this amazing lace! She’s delightful and let’s you try samples of her ice cream and Italian ice!! I had the “small banana split” it was huge and so very good! My husband had a medium ice cream cone and it was huge!! Priced very reasonable especially with the portions that you get! I will definitely go back as much as my waistline will allow! Definitely a must go!!!!!

New ownership has definitely been a huge turn around for Gardner’s Grill! As evident by the photo, I couldn’t wait to dig in. Having tried several items on their new menu, I can’t recommend their high quality, fresh food enough. The inviting, cozy, home-like environment keeps us coming back every week. Couldn’t recommend Chef Matt and Mama C’s place any more!

Had a great experience here! We just moved to the area and wanted to try a local place, and this spot got top marks. Great flavor selections, great value for your money (these are big servings compared to say cold stone), and friendly people. I tried 4 flavors before settling, and changed to a medium from a small right after she entered it, but I just got a laugh and smile from her. I got a medium (2 scoop) banana pudding ice cream and my SO got a large (3 scoops) mango Italian ice. Also they sell quarts and party buckets of this stuff for pretty cheap, what?? The drive thru is going to be dangerous on trips home this summer…
Update: I’ve been many times and I love it just as much as the first time we came. Also, they have punch cards! Ask for one if they don’t offer it so you can get a free 10th ice cream/Italian ice. Also, at the end of summer they have a huge sale on ice cream and Italian ice in take home quarts to help get rid of the last of their inventory. Definitely take advantage of it and stock up before they close for the season.

Gardner’s Frozen Treats are Great!
My first visit to Gardner’s was great! It was a Saturday evening around 7 pm and we timed our visit just right. There were a few people waiting for their order to be prepared at the walk-up frozen treat shop, but no one was in the order line. We stepped right up to the window and perused the long list of available ice cream and Italian ice flavors. We were in the mood for cream, so we skipped the Italian ice this time. Our order was taken quickly and accurately by the friendly staff member at the window. We were instructed to step to the side and wait for our order to be prepared at the next window. While we were ordering, a long line of folks joined in the fun. A short time later we were presented with the wonderful creations.
I had an Avalanche with Heath Bar mix-in. It is basically their smooth and creamy vanilla soft serve mixed with the crumbled candy items. It was just right and delicious. Other in my party chose a variety of cone’s and cups. Play dough flavored ice cream was the hit with the kiddo. Banana with Reese Peanut Butter cups, Cappuccino Crunch, and Coconut Almond were other big hits. Their portions for the ice cream are huge. A small cup would have been plenty for me, maybe even the kiddo cup. Two scoops on a waffle cone were enormous! All items were great!

There are not enough stars to give…we love Gardner’s. The ice cream choices are awesome but my wife’s favorite are the chocolate ice cream sandwiches. The staff are always friendly and service is great!

Amazing local find! I’ve lived here for a couple of years now and work not too far away. They sent a menu to my office and the pictures don’t even come close to the food! The cheese fries shown on the menu look basic but what you really get is crispy crinkle cut fries that were seasoned perfectly, real cheese and the portion is huge. The sandwiches are amazing and they have so many way to make a sandwich exactly how you like it!
