The Food Dude
Garden Table in Carmel turned out to be a genuinely pleasant surprise — one of those meals where every course hits exactly the way you hoped it would. The space itself sets the tone immediately: clean, bright, and welcoming, with décor that feels thoughtful without trying too hard. It’s the kind of place where you settle in and instantly think, “Yeah, this is going to be good.”
I ordered the Benny Burger, and it was spot-on. The patty came out perfectly medium-rare, the egg was cooked exactly right, and the seasoning pulled everything together without overshadowing the ingredients. The fries deserve their own mention: crisp on the outside, tender inside, and seasoned well enough that you don’t need to drown them in anything.
My wife went with the smoked salmon and avocado toast, and they did not skimp on the salmon. The poached egg was textbook perfect, and even the gluten-free bread — which is often a gamble — was legitimately good. Our daughter’s croissant French toast may have stolen the show, though. Light, flaky, rich, and absolutely delicious.
We finished with the cheesecake, and the kitchen was wonderfully accommodating, adding an off-menu berry compote and chocolate drizzle that elevated the dish without making it overly sweet.
Drinks were another high point: my old fashioned was solid for a pre-mix, and my wife’s Bloody Mary was vibrant, layered, and balanced — great heat without being overpowering.
Overall: great food, great service, and a genuinely enjoyable experience. Garden Table is absolutely worth a return visit.

If I could give 10 ⭐, I would do so. Every dish was absolutely delicious. The juice flight was delicious. Thanks to my servers advice, I made all great choices.

We brought my mom for her birthday, And enjoyed the wonderfully fresh food.
I had shrimp tacos and they were so good. Everything was so fresh. My tiny nephew was with us and they brought us warm water to make his bottle.
Our waittress was so friendly. We really enjoyed the front porch at lunchtime. My sister in law recommends this place for their healthly fresh options and she was right!

We had a group of 6 and made reservations. They have indoor and outdoor seating available.
I got the salmon quinoa bowl, my daughter got chicken wings, friends got pasta and brisket. The salmon and brisket dishes were HUGE!
The salmon was perfectly cooked: crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. I knocked down a star because there weren’t much veggies or pesto and the menu had advertised pesto veggies with quinoa. It was mostly quinoa. Would’ve liked more pesto and veggies!!
We also shared the fresh juice sampler. I loved the cashew milk and carrot juice.
This place is good and has room for more potential! It’s nice to have delicious, healthier options in Carmel and Indy.

Quintessential place in downtown Carmel, you soak in the beautiful downtown vibe and street side seating. You can feel you have come to a totally different place, there was a completely different vibe, interior was masterfully designed and light, inviting an open concept of being there. Felt uplifting and unique being here.
Staff was super friendly and attentive even when the place was packed with guests, orders didn’t take really long to come, a busy restaurant serving food faster and getting guests to their tables, these are the key signs that the place is doing great and is a favourite of many.
My family has vegetarian dietary habits and they loved this place and the food.
Loved it and would definitely recommend and visit again.

We’ve been here several times for brunch and it has always been fantastic, but we recently came for dinner for the first time and it was great. We had crab cakes and fried olives for appetizers and both were so good! The fried olives were probably our favorite item of the night. My husband had a cocktail and I had a cold pressed juice. He ordered Whiskey chicken, I had Frutti di Mare pasta, his mom got Roasted chicken thigh, and his dad got Seven hour brisket. We were all blown away with how good our food was. Garden table always has great service and is beautiful on the inside. This is becoming one of our favorites in Carmel!

I was super excited to try brunch at Garden Table. It’s a great place to catch up with friends and family. I ordered their grilled chicken sammie and my friend ordered an açai bowl.
I must say that I loved their focaccia bread used for sandwich, it was so full of herbs and flavourful. I could taste the freshness in each bite. The portions are good, not too much and not too less for one person. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. They get busy even on weekdays morning pretty quickly, I would recommend making reservations ahead of time.

We visit Garden table on different occasions and it never disappoints. The cold pressed juice and the pressed juice flight are the star of the show. Always a good variety and we enjoy trying the flights. Patio dining has a wait over the weekend but it’s pretty okay as we get a message when our table is ready and usually there’s so much happening in the area that you don’t feel like you are bored or not doing anything. I have to say that it’s not a too good experience for me. The wait staff was very nice and friendly. But they did not check on us often and forgot our drink orders and had to be reminded a couple times. I had to wait awhile before I could flag them down.
The food themselves are meh. I ordered the steak torta and I had to say I was really disappointed. For the price, there was barely any steak in it. The bread itself was too big for the filling it was ridiculous. The taste was just salty and mushy. I was expecting more.
The kids pancakes were surprisingly good, even though they don’t look it. Other food taste was just standard. They tasted just like any other chain restaurants—a tad salty, or no taste. All in all, I will not go back. I would rather spend the same amount of money on better food out there. The best thing about this restaurant is their location.
