Typical Chinese take out that I’ve been going to for the past 4 years for average Chinese food. But today is the last time I come here. I ordered general tsos lunch special and every piece of chicken I bit into had no chicken meat. It was composed of flour and fat drenched in sauce. There was only 2-3 pieces that I can visually see the grain of chicken meat and not just the fat. I have never been so disappointed in Chinese takeout. And that’s already with a low bar for my expectations for American Chinese takeout food.

We live in New York, but when we come to New Jersey, we get takeout from Garden Rice and bring it home. The broccoli with garlic sauce is excellent as is the cold sesame noodles. We’ve been coming here since it opened, when we lived in Chatham. The owners are friendly, the service is fast and the price is right.

I enjoyed the care they took in putting together a fantastic lunch. I’m also happy to see it’s still one of the few Chinese restaurants that still serve food in bowls and plates. Also, the portions were a good size for the price I paid.

One of the better Chinese restaurants you can ever go to. The staff is the friendliest of all restaurants and the food is always very fresh. They never left me dissatisfied. Not to mention how clean they keep the facility. That’s a HUGE plus.
