When first coming, I thought there would be a wait since the parking was almost at capacity. There was no wait, and you are hit with the rich smell of freshly roasted coffee. So, of course, we ordered some. It was a very nice cup to enjoy. We ordered chilaquiles red and green with chorizo. The chips were still very crunchy. The salsa was amazing and tasted homemade. I almost forgot to take a picture because I started digging in right away. My fiancé ordered biscuits and gravy. The gravy was delicious, but I’ve had better biscuits. The plates come with a side of potatoes, hashbrowns, or fruit. His potatoes were well seasoned and buttery. Even better dipped in the gravy! I had a side of fruit that was pretty good. The watermelon and orange still had seeds, so if you order for your kids, please make sure to remove those for them. Overall, this place did not disappoint with having an authentic Mexican breakfast. Service was also wonderful, and checkout was quick and easy. There is a fee for not paying with cash, FYI.

A Hidden Gem Worth the Drive!
I was really impressed with Gardenberry Cafe. The atmosphere is warm, clean, and welcoming, and the staff is attentive and friendly. I especially loved the outdoor seating—it was peaceful and perfect for a relaxed breakfast.
The food was excellent. I had the fajita skillet (absolutely delicious) and French toast (perfectly done). My wife had the deluxe Philly cheesesteak with fries and tortilla soup, and everything was top-notch. That soup alone is worth coming back for!
Honestly, the only downside is that it’s 35 minutes from home—but totally worth the drive. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary breakfast here, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.

Garden Berry Cafe to me earns 4 stars and its not in the typical way. There were a few things about my visit here that I really enjoyed.
Location: Since I live in the city, GBC had a nice urban feeling to it that I just don’t normally get to experience. It’s on a nice spot just off the main drag, but not necessarily tucked away out of sight either. The restaurant itself is the perfect design for what it is and where it sits. A cozy and comfy breakfast spot without any unnecessary bells and whistles.
Atmosphere: Nicely taken care of hardwood flooring and paneling gives the interior a super enjoyable vintage look and feel. Even though I dined indoors, I was actually more taken by the outside patio seating area.
Service: Tayler (or Taylor) introduced herself and was prompt with service, refills, and updates on our order. She did a very nice job. Others assisted her (and vice versa) and overall it felt like it was a collective team effort and they enjoyed working with each other. It was pleasant to observe and even better to receive.
Also of note: this was first time I’ve ever seen my two year old stuff an entire pancake in his mouth. So there’s a nice memory to this as well.
So what makes this an atypical 4 stars? The food does. It was just okay.
I ordered the loaded potato pancakes that looked extremely promising but lacked a crisp potato pancake texture and really had no discernable flavor apart from the potatoes themselves.
I also ordered a side portion of Corned Beef Hash, but it was a pre-made mixture that was either frozen or canned. It was pretty easy to see that it wasn’t house made.
I knew before I even finished breakfast that I was enjoying the intangibles here more than the food. Still a notably positive experience and I would certainly come back, and should I return I’d definitely have to have a table on the patio.

Decided to try Garden Berry Cafe for brunch last weekend and we enjoyed it very much. The food was delicious! My mom ordered the veggie panini with a side of fruit and I had the chocolate chip banana pancakes. I also ordered a mocha latte,which wasn’t anything special and expensive for what it was. In the future I’ll probably stick to regular coffee, but we’ll definitely be back!

The staff were friendly, and the food was delicious. The classic omelet seemed above average compared to other places. The California crepe was sweeter than expected. The pancakes were disappointing as they weren’t much different from others, considering the price. As for the coffee… it’s hard to expect much from any restaurant. Overall, I was satisfied with the meal. If I visit again, I’d like to try the omelet and some other dishes.

Food was really good, and service was prompt. I was there on a weekday, so it was easy to find a table. (We’ve eaten here on Sunday, and it’s hard to get in because there are fewer tables than other places.) Price was a little high for breakfast, but it was good. We’ll go back.

First time experience was fantastic! Couldn’t pass up the $4 matcha latte. Chocolate chip banana pancakes were super fluffy and perfectly drenched with chocolate and whipped cream to ensure every bite had toppings. Servers were on top of everything. Absolutely no complaints and will definitely be back!
