Unexpected surprise was found during a trip on the road. This place has a few dishes worth trying from the bean soup to the fish tacos. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. A great discovery is the seafood soup as well! Just a delight if you are not afraid of a medium spiced soup. The service was precise and the athmosphere calm and relaxed. Definitely recommended.

Best around for Mexican close to home, great service and atmosphere– the kids even enjoyed it. The salsa was amazing, we didn’t have room for dessert but it looked amazing too!

Good stop for food on the way to Nebrasca on the I80, because the place is a little hidden, a really short detour was required, like 2 minutes. Good food, and good service 100% recommended!!! Chips and salsa, then Pollo aZado and Garcia’s Plato Favorite, drinks

Is it worth exiting the highway for local food? YES! We had the debate and local won… and lunch was exceptional. For the price of fast food, we had great food.

Garcia’s Family Restaurant has been recommended to us over and over again by friends of ours. After we went today with our adult son, we cannot figure out why we waited so long. Very extensive menu, just know that there is a lot of food to choose from and portions are large. Hubby ordered a #8 (enchilada and chimichanga), I ordered a #13 (chimichanga, which was considered small), and son ordered from the #54 (Garcia’s chimichanga’s). All entrees had all of the amazing fixings of rice and beans. To top it all off, we had wonderful (and large) dessert of their fried ice cream. Unanimously, Garcia’s was the best from start to finish. We were seated immediately, orders taken and received, water glasses were always full. Great food and even better service. We will be returning again because there is a lot of their food choices that we have to try. Great job, Garcia’s.

Hidden Gem! this was a last minute find while driving from South Dakota on i80 looking for some food. This place has some of the BEST Mexican food of the many places we have visited on our travels over the last several days on the road during our Midwestern vacation. I think it’s the only restaurant in town. The food was fresh and delicious and the margarita was fantastic. The restaurant is clean and it has the Mexican Vibe of most Mexican restaurants with carved wood seating and bright pain!

Huge portions, reasonable prices, and great service. Broad menu of authentic Mexican food, expertly prepared. My Sister-in-law who lives in Tucson says that this place is more authentic than any Mexican restaurant in the Tuscon area. We usually go here when we visit our son who lives nearby. We’ve never been disappointed. They were extremely busy tonight, and even so all of the servers and wait staff were very attentive & friendly.

Pork carnitas were authentic and DELICIOUS! Seafood chimichangas were out of this world! Fried ice cream was fresh and wonderful! We will never pass by this place again! Prices are reasonable and food was well worth the 5 minute jog off I-80!!!

this was a last minute find while driving through from Denver on i80 at 845pm and looking for some food. This place has some of the BEST Mexican food of the many states I’ve been to. I think it’s the only restaurant in town, it could hold it’s own in a big city. Every drink comes in extra large, but still priced like a medium. My 3 adult kids were with me, we all thought it was some of the best food we have had. I actually stopped in again 2 days later on my return from Des Moines. The Pico was delicious, margarita was fantastic. get the Leo’s Special , it can feed 2 people. inside is extremely clean and looks new with carved wood seating and bright paint., bathrooms were exceptional, nice tile all around. all the staff was great, even with a line out the door for over an hour.

Excellent food, service and establishment. On top of the great food, this place is super clean inside. We were greeted immediately when we walked in and quickly seated. We ordered guacamole and cheese dip for starters, in addition to the complimentary chips and salsa provided when we were seated. The chips were warm and the appetizers were great. I loved the Garcia’s margarita. It had fresh lemon, orange, and lime juices and was not made from a mix. For dinner, I had the Enchiladas Pablanas and they were so good. The pork was cooked perfectly and had a nice flavor. My husband ordered Garcia’s Plato (recommended by our waitress) and it did not disappoint! It came with carne asada, chipotle chicken and bacon wrapped shrimp. There was a ton of food and everything was really, really good. We had a great experience and the food and margaritas were fantastic. It’s a short drive for us, but we will definitely be back soon!
