My husband, sister, and I tried this place for the first time a couple days ago. We got a ribeye sandwich and sweet potato fries each. We shared an order of philly steak and cheese fries and some fried pickles. Ordered lots of different doughnuts to try. Washed them down with some iced tea. This place was worth it. Definitely coming back again sometime. I look forward to trying a burger with more sweet potatoe fries and ordering another blueberry filled doughnut. Their food selection is really nice.

Good golly, these donuts are the best I have ever had. Melt in your mouth soft dough, incredible filings. I tried the chocolate filled because so many reviewers raved about it. It was delicious, but the lemon filled was extraordinary. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you’re local, you’re lucky. If you’re not, it’s worth the drive!

One of my favorite places in Laurel and now
I’m living close enough that I can grab their donuts or amazing lunch anytime I want. If y’all are in town come pay these folks a visit.

Bought dozen donuts and was led to believe they were fresh. Of course I bought them in the evening.
With this store open into the evening hours I expected them to be fresh.
Drove back to Taylorsville and made a pot of coffee and looking forward to eating a semi-fresh donut and they were hard. Called the store and they asked for me to bring the donuts in and they would replace them. I am not local so that won’t happen.
Where’s the trust in people nowadays. The woman probably thinks I made this up with her wanting me to keep them donuts until I come back in.

Well, over a dozen donuts…. get real. It won’t be long that this place will probably go under.

Updated: It’s been 2 years since I’ve been in the area and had to come back to get the Chonut as well as the delicious onion rings. My first attempt failed as I got there at 2:50pm. They apparently stop serving lunch at 2:30pm. So be sure to note that when you plan your trip. I ended up driving just over an hour back the next day out of my way just to get this food I’ve been thinking about for 2 years. The chonut had a tad of a spicy kick this time but still good and the onion rings were still flaky and crunchy. I got the donut burger too. Just because. I’m not sure when I’ll be back so I wanted to be sure I satisfied my cravings. I think that did the trick.

OMG hands down the best hand battered onion rings I’ve had. Not only that the Chonut; chicken tenders on a glazed donut with bacon is out of this world good. Maybe not for my waistline but to treat yourself once in a while; that’s a good time. The Bavarian cream donut was awesome too. I’m sad but thankful I don’t live closer as I’d have a hard time not making this a daily stop. It’s that good. If you’re visiting the area or have a cheat day ahead of you, do yourself a favor and put this place on your itinerary and go when they are serving lunch Monday – Friday. There’s a reason they are Leader Call’s Readers’ Choice award winner for several years in a row. And the staff is sweet. I went back and tried the Donut Burger. Bit of a wait this time but worth it cause that was delicious too. However, the Chonut wins out in my book. And again those onion rings are just so scrumptious.

Well, we were told to get the King Cake donut by two people. I ordered that, two sprinkle donuts and we got lunch as well. We didn’t get the sprinkle donuts and they were so busy I just moved along. My catfish was okay. Son said the king cake donut was pretty good. Burger was hot and good.

Don’t waste your time here. We stood waiting to go order for over twenty minutes while they served their drive through orders. I had to ask for coffee and donuts as the staff forgot about us after five minutes. Observed other people going up to the counter asking about their order, meanwhile the drive through was moving. Seemed unfair to people going inside. I will not go here again.

I don’t understand how a donut shop with premade items can move this slowly. There were only a few people in line, yet it still took forever to get served. The issue isn’t demand — it’s execution. Until the service flow improves, it’s hard to justify the wait.

We stumbled into Garcias while passing through the area on a road trip. Had the cream donut, cinnamon twist, and pecan bar. Everything was amazing! We will try to come back by on our way home
