Great spot along the Lake Tahoe for a brunch! The views are awesome from the dining area outside. There are several levels and we got seated on the outside deck close to the edge with an amazing view. The food was great and the service was as well. We were there on a Sunday and it was fairly packed. There is a short pier from the beach that you can walk, quite enjoyable to do so after the meal.

Great stop for food and/or drink, as we boarded the AWS Incline “Sierra Cloud” catamaran from their dock. Sierra Cloud used to depart from the Hyatt. Hasn’t been updated on Google maps yet. They are very much running awesome catamaran runs. We had awesome captain Jeff and crew. Just not at Hyatt anymore they are donezies there still rocking and rolling from Gar Woods. Great 2 hour catamaran cruise in lake. Don’t miss it. Great for locals, and visitors (as we were).

We celebrated our 14th anniversary with a dinner at Gar Woods. We sat outside facing Lake Tahoe and watched the storm clouds roll over the mountains and the choppy water waves lap the shores edge. The heaters kept us plenty warm and so did the food and drinks. You get what you pay for, and the food was worth every dollar. Don’t rush this stop….make reservations online and enjoy your time.

Garwoods is a nice restaurant overlooking the lake. It offers parking for car in a lot and boat docking for customers on a pier. We saw motorboaters, jet skiers, and kayakers dock and eat lunch there then go in there way. There are also indoor and outdoor dining options and a small walking trail and beach to visit after lunch. The food was amazing and for the view and experience the prices were surprisingly affordable.

Sometimes over the years, i feel like the quality of food is not always up to par for the price point. Today, I feel like it was. We didn’t order too much, but the clams and shrimps were amazing as well as of course, the woody’s! Sat at the bar and the service was prompt and courteous 🙂
