Excellent experience!!! The “Mint to be” mixed drink was amazing! Beer was cold and food delicious. We had the Risotto pesto as our app. Main course was crab cake and fish & chips. Alexa, was great with service and recommendations! Highly recommend!!!

I have been here countless times. The only meal that I absolutely hated was the Irish Beer Muscles. They were bitter, there was no flavor at all, besides bitterness and spiciness. I’ll insert a beautiful presented picture of them on here. Everything else I have gotten has been pretty great food wise.
-French onion soup: 5/10 *sometimes* lacks in flavor, almost tastes like dish water
-Caesar salad 9/10 nothing really wrong, sometimes comes out not crispy/ wilted.
-Roasted Pear & blue cheese salad 9/10 sometimes wilted and the dressing is great but a tiiiny bit too sweet for me
-Donegal Fries 10/10 amazing
-Pub pretzels 10/10 (might need more dipping sauce for some)
-wings 10/10 absolutely amazing (had them so long ago but from what i remember)
– Smoked Salmon crostini’s 7/10 alright, nothing super special
-Black Bean Burger 9/10, has a bit of heat and maybe could use a bit more flavor (but I could just be picky)
-Ganley’s Chips 100/10 SO GOOD (decently salty but to my liking)
-Shepherds Pie 10/10
-French Fries 9/10
Service is always on the slower side
Cocktails here are ALWAYS amazing!!! To me, worth every penny.
All in all, a wonderful cozy place to go.
Parking is difficult on a weekend usually but there is always at least one spot open when I go if busy.

Have dined here numerous times over the years. Never had a bad meal/ service. Like any good restaurant; It can get busy so be prepared.

We arrived around 5:45 on Sunday 8/31. When seated there was only 1 table seated, and they left a few minutes later. When seated we were told our server would be right with us, 10 minutes later, our server Giovanna greeted us and took drink orders.
We placed our order. I was served a
Crock of French Onion Soup, which looked delicious. The cheese was melted over the top. However, the soup wasn’t hot. It was warm. The soup itself was on the very salty side, and the onions in the soup lacked any real flavor especially of onion. Side note too many croutons.
Out came our salads, one house and one Caesar salad (which there was an up charge). The house salad was fresh, grape tomatoes cut, which is so appreciated. The Caesar salad had a great taste, however, the lettuce was a little soggy, again too many of the plain no flavor croutons. I’m not sure if it’s made up ahead of time, this did not taste freshly tossed.
Our entrees came out, the Shepherds pie was steaming hot! It had a wonderful taste, with lots of meat, veggies and beautiful brown gravy. It was hot to the last bite.
The second entree was 1 crabcake with risotto, and onion rings. The onion rings were cooked to perfection, beer battered and fresh. Hot and crispy. The risotto was wonderful, creamy, cheesy and garlicky. The crabcake left a lot to be desired. It was broiled, the inside of the crabcake was extremely wet, and without flavor. Not sure they used old bay or anything when seasoning it. I only ate part of it. It was suppose to be “lump” that being said the texture was a combination of claw and maybe some special meat. I didn’t see any lump in mine. It truly was a disappointment. The garlic old bay aoli had a good taste.
Giovanna checked on 1 time while eating our salad and 5 minutes after we got our meals. She came back when we were finished asked if there would be anything else (no suggestions of dessert), we asked for a box. At that time I mentioned she might let the executive chef know the crabcake was subpar and why. She apologized and did say she would let him know. She brought us a box and the check. She said she took something off of the crabcake and would let the chef know. She said I know you didn’t ask for anything, but I’m sorry it didn’t meet your expectations.
Giovanna wasn’t in the area during our dinner service, we were unable to get any refills on our drinks. She wasn’t serving any of the tables around us.
I would like to make a suggestion that a dinner roll, or piece of bread would have been nice with the meal, especially with the Shepherds pie.
When we left, the area we were sitting in was full, again Giovanna wasn’t in this section.
Lastly, we saw no member of management during our meal to bring it to their attention.
The atmosphere at Ganly’s is warm and inviting. Overall, I wish I could give 5 stars, but today’s visit missed its mark.

We were a walk-in group of 5. We sat at the bar and ate since we came with an appetite and to avoid waiting 25 minutes for a table. A great meal after exploring Union canal trail and blue marsh lake. Great selection of craft beer and imported beer, cocktails, and hard liquor. Full food menu. Seating inside and out.

Most of the food is absolutely delicious especially the French onion crock and the reuben. Had some apps that were good and tasty drinks. only reason for the 4 star on food we ordered fish and chips and the fish was a little bland and slightly overdone. also there is a $2 upcharge for a side Caesar salad vs garden salad same size nothing specially different.
service was decent was seated pretty quickly on a saturday night. server was quick and on top of making sure we had everything we needed/wanted.

Ganly’s was a good experience. Full and noisy at peak time but the wait time was still short. Unfortunately I don’t remember our waitress’s name but she was the best! Gave us recommendations when we were having trouble choosing and brought us the food quite promptly. She was friendly and cheerful and did everything that a waitress should do and then some. I had the fish and chips. Donegal fries with Donegal cheese sauce I would also recommend. I definitely want to go back again to find some more favorites!

This establishment has been in operation for many years and has steadily improved. While everything is good, I consistently order the salmon. While most local restaurant salmon tends to be individually quick frozen slices; here it doesn’t appear so, but if it is, it’s damn good. The salmon is always lightly crispy on the outside, flaky and moist on the inside and perfectly seasoned. I always pair it with a garden salad with blu cheese, steamed buttered broccoli and yes risotto. A nice selection of beers and mixed drinks are enjoyed. Service has always been above par. Atmosphere is nice, however, temperatures can vary so a light jacket is advised. Upon a recent visit, they reduced the menu to one side. A Ceasar salad with about 3oz to 4oz of chicken for around $22 is starting to push it. From the crowd size there appears to be no problem, but just because the waters are quiet doesn’t mean the crocodiles aren’t there (grumblings of value for the dollar). Food remains good and service excellent.
