Good quality Korean food and ingredients but with an updated interior. New booths, tables and chairs. The banchan is refillable and super fresh. I recommend getting the bibimbap and order the steamed egg to mix with. Fried chicken is also pretty tasty. Free hot roasted rice tea is also Quick and friendly service.

Stopped in for brunch right after they opened (they open at 10 am). Staff was attentive and prompt. Interior was clean and fairly well lit. Started with gyoza which were standard fried. Banchan (8 of them) ranged from spicy soy pickled peppers (serranos?) to mildly seasoned mung bean sprouts. Appreciated the variety of textures and seasonings. Hubby ordered yukgaejang which had good flavor overall, loaded with fernbrake (which I love). I got Seolleontang. Broth was beefy and silky with glass noodles and tender brisket. Their Napa kimchi had a good funk and deep red gochugaru which went well with the tender brisket, deep broth, and purple rice.

Overall enjoy our Mother’s Day lunch at Gangnam. Friendly staff, good food what’s to complain?
Mackeral was great, but recommend to sit longer to drain oil before plating. It was delicious with the rice and all the sides. This is one of the better mackerel I had in this area.
Bibimbap, the rice was crispy on the bottom, which we really like, overall only minor improvement would be larger beef cuts. Caveat I only had a few bites, perhaps I didn’t get any as my son devoured it!
The soybean soup, love the fermented fragrance and flavor which is absorbed by the tofu. It was a bit too salty but the rice help.

Overall this place is nice. I had 순대국, it was good. But I found something very chewy, at first, I thought it was some kinda meat, but it was a plastic wrap. Didn’t mention it as its just a common mistake, but please be more cautious

We had an absolutely scrumptious dinner!!! Ordered the Galbi, Japche, Sweet and spicy wings, Kimchy stir fry w/ tofu. EVERYTHING tasted so yummy!!! Our waitress was wonderful and always checking on us. Will definitely be returning!!!

Ordered spicy pork one potato soup, fried chicken wings, ramyun, and beef fried rice. Excellent, each dish is better than the next. My son had 3 bowls of fried rice. Then ramyun came, this is the weakest dish by far. But then the pork bone soup came and the soup base was fantastic. My daughter even had some, even though it was spicy. Fried chicken came last. Although the flavor was average, the frying on it was near perfection.
