Hidden Gem with Huge Portions!
Stopped by on a Wednesday night around 8 PM and was surprised at how quiet it was, though there was a lively karaoke room going in the back! We sat on the outside deck because we had our dog with us. To be honest, the deck was a little bit dirty and could use a quick sweep, but the service more than made up for it. The waitress and the entire staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.
Most importantly: the food was amazing. The portions were huge and everything tasted authentic. If you’re looking for great Korean food and a dog-friendly spot, this is it. I’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I visited Gangchu while we were in Tampa and had a great overall experience.
We were seated right away with no wait, and the service was quick. Our waiter was attentive and made sure we were taken care of throughout the meal.
We started with the dumplings and ramen as appetizers, and both were very good and full of flavor.
I ordered the beef bulgogi, which was flavorful and well cooked. The quality of the food really stood out.
My husband ordered the wings and tried both the soy garlic and the Buldak hot flavor. We weren’t fans of the flavor of the buldak wings, although the spice level itself was good. The soy garlic wings, however, were very good and definitely our favorite.
Overall, the food quality was great, service was solid, and we would definitely return.

Recently went under changes and portion sizes had significantly decreased. I always get the rose tokbokki since it was my favorite, and the flavor had definitely changed and it’s now served on a bigger plate but smaller portion. The chicken was stilll good, pickled radish tasted extremely sour like it was on the verge of expiring.

Went here for my son’s 9th birthday, they absolutely crusheddddddd it here. Food sooooo amazing and same with the staff. Incredibly hospitable. I’m a chef so my kids got a pretty wild pallet and reallllly wanted something different. Good choice. Go here. Get the kontazu (I think that’s what it’s spelled like lol.) fried pork with cabbage and unknown pickled deliciousness with warm sake and a red horse ale. You won’t be disappointed
