I always go for the buffet because I don’t like one thing enough to only want to eat that.
That being said, the lunch buffet today was Absolutely Delicious!!
They had some options I’ve never had before and every tasted very fresh and well seasoned!
They had naan bread made fresh for us when we came in and it was nice and hot and fresh as we ate out meal

My son ordered the mango lassi also and it was very yummy. We ended up taking it to go because we were so full from the delicious meal we ate.
I’ve been coming here for many years and will definitely be coming back here and recommending to others

I also love the atmosphere here
The decor and coloring of the walls as well as tablecloths and everything makes for a very pleasant atmosphere to spend time in

Thanks Ghandi of India for another great experience!

Well. It was my first time there. Ive heard honestly terrible things and so many people have told me don’t go here. A friend who is a lifetime server at Indian restaurants warned me, as well as Indian folks I’ve asked for recommendations from.
I was lured by the $2 chai tea. I checked out the menu and decided to try veggie samosas my favorite, aloo parantha, and garlic naan, all TOGO.
Weird, but not a con necessarily, the bag of food smelled like Chinese food takeout, NOT Indian food takeout. Thats a first in any of the dozens of times Ive gotten takeout from about half a dozen Indian restaurants in Tucson/Phoenix.
CONS-
1. My samosas were flat out bad. As in not made well, smelled bad, and I think old/spoiled.
They were saturated oily like they had been cooked in a dirty fryer and sat out. It tasted literally like dirty fryer oil, and not spices peas potatoes etc.
It had a foul smell to it like produce gone bad. I couldn’t eat it. I hate wasting food, especially from a restaurant, but once I noticed it was dark grey inside like it was spoiled, I couldn’t eat it. It looked like one samosa was greasier than another and I wonder if it was sitting around for a while maybe lunch buffet, and not made fresh per order.
I tried the other one which, as you can see in the picture is less greasy and actually yellowish tan color inside like it’s supposed to be. Looked better but still tasted and smelled like rotting produce and dirty fryer. Super sad and my tummy is rumbling, it is not happy.

2. I specifically asked for extra tamarind sauce, and even asked again to confirm before I left. They said it was in the box and of course the extra wasn’t there. Something told me I should have checked the box.
3. Chai was watery, not very flavorful. Better with a little sugar but I just put some coffee creamer in it at home to give it some flavor ‍♀️
4. Sauce cups were really sticky underneath and left sticky rings all over my table I ate on at home, whatever they keep them in/on doesn’t seem to be clean.
5. They sat me at a table with a really dirty apron wrapped up in itself. I work restaurants so it wasn’t the biggest deal for me personally, but the apron was super dirty and greasy like its never washed, and its really bad customer service not to move that away. I use a clean apron everyday and thats what you’re supposed to do as per FDA. ‍♀️

PRO-
1.the bread was SO good. Like really good. Large size, thick and soft and squishy. Good flavor. Definitely some of the best Ive had.
2.The tamarind sauce was good too.
3. The dining room was neat and tidy. The cloth napkins and tablecloths were all really nice. The decor and atmosphere is actually really pleasing and welcoming.

Overall, Im not interested in coming back to try their dishes. I will definitely come in to buy their bread, its affordable and so delicious,
but after the foul samosas, I don’t trust their quality enough to purchase entrees and end up disappointed.

I really hope I dont get sick from those samosas because it’s not often i get food from a restaurant that smells actually OFF.
I will update this review if I get sick from the samosas.
Addition-
I wasn’t throwing up, but I did have tummy rumbles. I saved a little bit of the bread for the next morning, but couldn’t eat it because it had the same “bad cilantro “smell/taste.

I got their food delivered and WOW. The vegetable korma is to die for. It’s super buttery and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. I also ordered the butter chicken. The sauce wasn’t my favorite although the chicken was still very good. The portions were also HUGE. Definitely going to order from this place again!

I LOVE this restaurant. Seriously best Indian food in Tucson. The flavor is unbeatable and it hits every single time. I’m making my way through the whole menu. Great prices, owned by the sweetest couple, convenient and thoughtful packaging. Bottom line though, incredible food.

I went there for lunch and the buffet part was closed. There was only a man and a woman inside, the woman waited on us. The food was delicious however the service was SO RUDE!! My husband and I felt like we were inconveniencing the couple by wanting to eat there. The lady would walk off before letting us get our order through, seemed pissed every time we said “thank you”, threw a to-go bag on our table aggressively AND CHANGED OUR BILL COMPLETELY. Everything was crossed out and written over with a bigger amount of tax and total. We had no idea what to do and just kind of left feeling horrible. Food was okay but will try somewhere else next time we want some Indian food.

This place serves delicious food and it is always consistent. The lamb meatballs and paneer curry are fantastic. Their naan is also great and they’ll gladly bring it to you upon request. Prices are very reasonable, and they have been doing their thing in the same spot for a long time. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Indian food

For years Gandhi Cuisine of India has been my family’s Indian food restaurant to go to. We wouldn’t dare to try any other one. The staff is like family to us, the food is amazingly delicious and the site is always neat and elegantly put. We simply love it here.

Got this delivered on uber eats. The keema samosa and the mixed grill meats tasted fine, but a few hours later i felt nauseous and sick. Woke up at night feeling nauseous and sick, ended up in the bathroom dry heaving a lot that night. Won’t try it again. Need to have better quality control of their food.

This is genuinely the WORST indian “food” that I’ve ever encountered. The “lamb” (That’s actually beef) is tough and disgusting in the texture of a rock. The Shrimp tastes like it was thawed from a frozen bag about 2 weeks ago. The rice is over cooked. Their Coconut curry sauce is broken and bland.

Avoid this walking health code violation at all costs.

Absolutely a horrible waste of money.
