Corned beef and brisket are quite good. The brisket chili is something I haven’t had before and is good. The tallow fries are amazing. Chicken matza ball soup was very good, almost like some delis in NY or Philadelphia. This is the closest to a delicatessen freddricksburg has had.

My wife and I went to their brunch on Saturday’s from 9-2pm. I had the egg nog French toast and my wife had the proper pastrami breakfast sandwich. Both dishes were fantastic and reasonably priced. We definitely plan on going again. I hope they continue with their brunch menu in the future.

My only regret is not trying Galvin’s sooner. I had lunch there today for the first time, I enjoyed the clean aesthetics. The employee running the cash register was very nice, helpful and patient with all the patrons. She patiently went over the menu with newbies (me included). I had a corned beef sandwich and tallow fries. As I was eating, I was already planning for my next time there! Everything was SO GOOD and I can’t wait to go back, and I’ve had some really good sandwiches in NYC, also from very popular delicatessens. Galvin’s is my new favorite spot in downtown!

Thoroughly enjoyed the corned beef sandwich! The sandwich was quite large and could be two meals for someone.
The interior seating is plentiful with a special kids alcove with drawing supplies and a kids arcade stand. This will become one of the great lunch spots for everyone in downtown FXBG

Crazy tasty. If you’re looking for a rich, fatty sandwich Galvin’s has you covered. The potato salad is okay, but the Tallow Fries are craaaazy good. Definitely recommend the fries as a side and every sandwich will make ya happy.

Me and my wife went to the speak easy, we were served by Colton and he was so helpful and genuine, with a wonderful attitude. All in all great service, amazing drinks, the appetizer we received was delicious. What a great little down town spot to relax and enjoy each other!

The River’s End Speakeasy is an absolute gem. From the shareables to the entrées, every bite was packed with flavor and incredible quality—you can literally taste the care that goes into the food. The atmosphere is outstanding, the kind of place that feels special the moment you walk in, and the cocktails? Fantastic.
There honestly aren’t enough great things to say about this place. It’s spectacular through and through, and genuinely might be the best food I’ve had in Fredericksburg. Highly recommend.
