I wanted to love this place because when the experience is good, it’s truly great. However, when it falls short, it’s quite disappointing. I’ve visited several times. The first visit was excellent, so much so that we brought our family back. On the second visit, the food didn’t meet expectations—the rice served with my fish was undercooked and hard, making it inedible. They did offer an alternative side. On a another visit, the food was again very good with no complaints. However, on the most recent visit, the same issue with undercooked rice occurred, and the fish lacked flavor. Overall, it seems you have to hope for a good day to fully enjoy the meal here.

Food snd service were wonderful ! We wentfor lunch- I had Chicken a la Mier and chicken was so tender, and the shrimp in the sauce was tender, as well. Husband had fish and chips- was served very large pieces of fish, and again, very tender and flaky. Service was great! Will definitely be back!

Best place for seafood in town. The taste is clean, devine and full of flavor. The portion sizes are also really great, with some of the best customer service in town, even when the place is crowded. The catfish is really good which is something I have had there twice and they proved that they are consistent. The star of the show is the bread pudding, it’s really different from grandma’s bread pudding in an awesome way, essentially cubes of bread pudding with a slight crunch on each side it’s amazingly delicious. The price is pretty decent, seeing that we are about 6 hours or so from the nearest ocean. If you’re craving some seafood head over there and give them a try.

Really enjoyed our night out. It was my husbands birthday and he had been wanting to go here and our son text us and told us to go eat dinner on him and to go somewhere good so we chose GSC. Everything was great.

I had an amazing experience at Galveston Seafood Company! From the moment we walked in, the host set the tone with top-notch customer service — welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly. It’s rare to feel so taken care of right from the start, but they absolutely nailed it.
The restaurant itself was spotless and beautifully maintained. You can tell they take real pride in keeping everything clean and comfortable for their guests. It made the whole dining experience even better knowing we were in such a well-kept environment.
Now let’s talk about the food — the crab legs were out of this world! Perfectly seasoned, full of juicy, packed flavor with every bite. You could taste the freshness and care that went into preparing them. Honestly, they were some of the best I’ve ever had. To top it off, the prices were surprisingly reasonable, especially considering the quality of the seafood.
If you’re anywhere near the area, do yourself a favor and stop by Galveston Seafood Company. Amazing service, a great atmosphere, unbeatable crab legs, and fantastic prices — it’s easily a new favorite!

Galveston seafood Company is one of the best places to eat in Abilene. The seafood is always fresh and delicious, and there’s a large variety to choose from. There are daily lunch specials, all $13 or less. There is a senior menu that has a variety of items, includes drink, and dessert, And only cost $7.99 a person. There are two locations, one in North Abilene, and one in South Abilene. If you are in Abilene, Galveston, Seafood Company is a must try.

Absofrigginlutely loved this place. Our waiter was engaging , friendly, polite, customer service oriented, and extremely knowledgeable about the rich history of the building itself and the owner. The interior for me was fabulous architecture that you don’t see any more. The food was excellent and you could tell the chefs loved their jobs. Plating was excellent, portions were awesome and the flavor was perfect from entrée to main course to desert. I strongly suggest going here if you like excellently prepared seafood. Oh and the owner made the menu of so many well prepared foods. If I’m in the neighborhood again I’ll stop in because this place is how seafood restaurants should be. 11 stars out of 10 for me.

My family and I came in today around noon & had the BEST server ever. She was so sweet and attentive. I wish I recalled her name but I would come back just to sit in her section! Food was amazing. 10/10 recommend!

This was our first time visiting this restaurant and unfortunately will also be our last.
They were very busy when we got there, so the long wait wasn’t a surprise. They told us 30-35 minutes, it ended up being an hour. Frustrating, but things happen.
However, when we came in, they put our name on a list on an app. At the hour point, they asked everyone in the waiting room who was next. The list has gone missing somehow, and we had to *debate* another party about what order we had come in.
We sat down, put our drink order in, got our drinks, and then continued to wait. The other parties behind us were served while we continued to wait.
My husband had to track down another waiter to go find ours. We ordered and waited some more.
When the food came, our waiter put the food down quickly and split. We didn’t have silverware, so we assumed he was coming back. He was not.
My husband couldn’t find any other staff at this point and tracked down silverware on his own.
I got the crab cake, which may stand as the only crab cake I didn’t finish in my life. I was thinner than I expected from the photos on other reviews, and extremely salty. They seemed to be rationing remoulade sauce, as there was barely a fingernail’s worth on top. Some of the greens served with it were going bad.
The special (pork ribeye) my husband ordeded was good, so we both ate that. The red beans and rice were also good, although it was a little thin on sausage.
The waiter eventually showed up to check on us after we were done, and we quickly asked for the check before he disappeared again.
This was an overall very frustrating experience, although I don’t blame the individual wait staff for it. They were clearly short handed with the waiters doubling as host while simultaneously trying to wait tables AND do closing tasks. It’s management’s responsibility to make sure there is enough staff for every shift. If you don’t have enough employees to run a restaurant, then you’re not paying enough to attract good people.
I also sorta suspect the person serving us was a manager as they were the only one not wearing an apron and the staff that did wear aprons appeared much more attentive to their tables.
