This has been one of the best italian restaurants Ive been to in a very long time! Everything we had was stellar. 10/10. We had the mussels Mariana to start: WOW! Soo delicious. We ordered the linguine fruti di mare and it was outstanding. Cooked to perfection, the shrimp tasted so fresh, the sauce, the flavors. Dessert was delicious too. Kudos to the chef, they’re doing something very right in that kitchen! We are definitely coming back soon!

My wife and I decided to try out Gallo Nero for an early dinner. The first thing we noticed was how clean this place is. We had a couple of cocktails and ordered the calamari. The food and drinks were made perfectly. Then we ordered dinner. I had the chicken parmigiana and my wife had the salmon with vegetables. The chicken parm was wounded very thin. The tomato sauce was very tasty. My wife told me that her salmon was the best she ever had. The staff was attentive and very friendly all the while taking care of all the customers. We bought back dessert to the house since we had an early dinner.
We will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend this place for a great dinner that is reasonable priced.

Wow — absolutely incredible pizza and such a warm, welcoming, family-owned restaurant. Florence and Albi, thank you so much for the amazing service. Your pizza and Caesar salad are beyond delicious — truly made with love.
I also want to personally thank you for being willing to make pizza for my team and me this upcoming Monday while we’re open at Millennium Smiles — even though you’re normally closed. That generosity means so much to us.
Much love and gratitude,
Dunia

We stopped in here for an early lunch after a long day of moving furniture. I liked the sign and who doesn’t love Italian food? We were immediately greeted by Albi, who made us delicious and gorgeous craft cocktails and shared the menu with us. Very extensive and ranges from classic Italian dishes to pizza and calzones. I opted for the veal picatta and my wife got the taste of Italy. Amazing food, I had my doubts about the veal, but it was tender and delicious, perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce and plenty of capers. We met some friendly locals and have been back since then, it became a favorite immediately. The service is exceptional, I highly suggest you sit at the bar and talk cars with Albi. Throw the man a tip, he’s saving for his dream car! Awesome, authentic, and felt like eating with family.

What an Amazing Welcome for our 3 generations family of 8. So friendly and caring staff; specially Malvina!
The veal parmigiana is top notch. The Chef Special plate is one of the best ever. Great Negroni’s and Hugo Spritz. Definitely a place to return many time; great food, value and makes us Happy. Thanks Malvina!!

We had lunch delivered to our office today and it was amazing! I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with a Caesar salad and everything came fresh, hot, and delicious. The Alfredo was creamy and flavorful, the salad was crisp, and the rolls were soft and warm — perfect comfort food. Everyone in the office was impressed, and the portions were generous too.
Definitely recommend for office lunches or catering — they made it super easy and tasty!

Great little spot! Sat outside and I think our servers actually forgot about us because they didn’t bring out menus or waters until one of our party went back inside. After that though our server was kind and attentive. We tried the greek salad, lots of the pasta dishes, and wine. It was good but the pasta definitely wasn’t fresh in terms of when it was made. The gnocchi tasted like it was made from frozen pasta and the spaghetti noodles served with the eggplant parm also seemed like it was boxed. Saw reviews about the vodka sauce but honestly it was a little watery. Maybe we went too late because it was a Sunday night. Overall pretty average experience.
*Edit: Not gnocchi, the tortellini*

My family and I had such a wonderful experience at Gallo Nero. We first heard about them during the recent snowstorm when they were one of the few restaurants still open, and we made a mental note to try them. We finally went over Valentine’s weekend, and I’m so glad we did.
From the moment we sat down, the service stood out. Issac was our server, and he was absolutely amazing. He quickly established rapport with our boys, which means everything as a parent. He made them feel included, kept them engaged, and made the entire evening feel relaxed and welcoming. He also gave fantastic recommendations and truly took great care of our family from start to finish.
For dinner, we ordered the Chicken Marsala, Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, and the Chef Special. Overall, everything was delicious. The Chicken Fettuccine was rich, creamy, and flavorful. The Chef Special was outstanding and clearly prepared with care. The Chicken Marsala was very good as well, though slightly underseasoned for my taste — but still enjoyable, and I would absolutely order it again.
It’s not always easy to find a place that delivers both great food and genuinely warm service, but Gallo Nero did both beautifully. We left full, happy, and already talking about coming back. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Been coming to get takeout here for a while. Food is good and overall a good experience. However, with being in the restaurant industry myself, I’ve come to figure out that the hosts, which do the job of togo, do not receive the tips that you give them. Do not tip togo at this place. If you do, do it in cash. The tips on the computer go to the house which is highly illegal under FLSA regulations. This can be reported to the US department of labor and can become an investigation. If reported, the employers could even be required to pay back two to three years of stolen tips, plus liquidated damages and civil penalties.
Edit & response: Regardless of retaining talent or not by editing wages, the house has to give those tips to somebody. That’s what tipping is for…
Sure $15 an hour could outperform the tipped wage + tips if y’all distribute to all of FOH. But that is no excuse. People are tipping the hosts (who serve them), not the owners.
Im guessing those total togo tips can range from $40 to even $180 some nights.
Time to figure something out guys before it gets out of control.

The service was great, and the rolls and appetizers were great. I didn’t particularly like my entree. I ordered the chicken piccata. It needed more salt/flavor and the sauce volume was excessive. My husband enjoyed his ravioli in vodka sauce with chicken. I would come back, but maybe order something different next time.
