Native San Franciscan and live in San Francisco ( 2 1/2 drive well worth it)have lived in San Francisco, my entire life and I am very fortunate that my job,:and my work-related duties required me to dine at every 4 and 5 star restaurants in San Francisco for the last 25 years daily, so I’m pretty tainted and jaded because I still get the red carpet treatment. But I have to say I was so pleasantly surprised by the service, and the food, and the ambiance at Gallettos. Especially the way the manager Cal treated my guest and we’re due to be back there on her birthday. Thank you Cal. See you this weekend

Mediocre food. Beautiful ambience and attentive service. This restaurant could be spectacular but the kitchen execution is sub par. Bland fish, bison ribeye was poorly prepared and tough. Overall seasoning was just a miss. Our server was wonderful and attentive. Atmosphere was romantic- appropriate lighting and quiet to allow conversation.

Came in on a Tuesday night with a date and ordered their salmon dish. She ordered their ribeye. The salmon came out and after one bite of me eating it, I cut it open to see that it was clearly raw. When I asked to send it back the server argued that it was “sushi grade” and said it was fine to eat. I still insisted I wanted a new one that was cooked fully. On top of date my date ordered a medium rare ribeye and when she first cut in it, it was almost a well done. Luckily they were more willing to remake her meal. Besides the food, the service was alright and the atmosphere was okay. Will probably not come by again but who knows

All-time favorite place for Italian food. Often come here for all special occasions and with friends for meet-ups. Very pleasant staff always welcoming. The pasta is delicious and the desserts are to die for…! This is a gem for our area. The restaurant is very spacious and I think you can even plan events in the patio. Excellent experience every time.

The manager was truly the GOAT my first visit here, truly amazing atmosphere. Good perfect. We were placed outside and it being our first time it was super hot outside, nd inside was just too beautiful to pass on. I said one word to the manager, and he was on it for me. “Best feeling ever” nd Ima brotha, took my ex nd accompanied BIG TIME taken her here. Let’s just say what I paid was worth every dollar that night. Well worth it

We were there for a work meeting so we did not have access to the full menu. What was selected was absolutely delicious. The chicken was roasted to perfection with a very juicy texture. The potatoes were crispy. The service was perfect my food was served hot and my drinks didn’t ever get empty. My only complaint was that Our meeting ended and we had to leave;) next time I am passing through Modesto this will have to be a stop with the family!!!

Lively atmosphere, fantastic service and upscale food. It was a nice surprise to walk into such an open room with tall ceilings where I could listen to and watch the cooking staff and exposition. Christopher was an attentive server, checking in just enough for me to know he was paying attention to all his tables. The food was upscale and pleasant. The Frito Misto had a light batter so I could taste the flavor of the vegetables and calamari. I particularly enjoyed the beans and the olives! The octopus was presented beautifully and the flavors were on point, though it was overcooked, so a bit rubbery. The star of the show was the soup of the day, a Chicken Cassoulet, with beans and bacon. The salty broth was light enough for the meat and vegetables to shine through. The flavors were well balanced. I had a fresh fruit tart for dessert and it was light and not too sweet. The crust was a little thick, but had good flavor. All in all, great service and an upbeat atmosphere.

Visited this restaurant for the first time tonight on a friend retreat and it was amazing! Beautifully elegant restaurant and experience! Loved the food and awesome service! Definitely a spot I would recommend to family and friends. Enjoyed the lobster fettuccine especially! Thank you ❤️
