A very nice meal at Galicia. Located at Beamer golf course. The food was delicious. Nice variety on the menu. Menu has some choices that are for 3-4 people which might be nice for families or larger groups. They were busy which slowed the service and contributed to some confusion with our order. Staff was very apologetic and honest about the mixup. ( They really needed at least one more server. The staff they had were literally running). There was Ukrainian music playing but it was a bit too loud and a TV monitor near our table was playing different music that ended up being distracting and added to the overall noise level. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would return. The kinks we experienced should be easily ironed out.

We went on a Sunday evening with a party of 9. Besides our table, there were only 2 other tables occupied yet it took a rather long time for anyone to come to our table. The space is large but it’s unclear if it’s intended to be a restaurant or a night club. The food was OK. The one person who made yhe evening enjoyable was Damien. He happily explained the different options and was very pleasant.

Galicia is such a hidden gem! Everything was so good! We had the pickled vegetables, the chicken pelmeni, the Savoring Ukrainian sampler with potato pancakes and cabbage rolls among other things, and dessert. Staff were all super kind and attentive and the prices are completely reasonable. My only complaint is that the restaurant is set so far back from the main road that not a lot of people know about it! If you like to try new places you have absolutely got to give Galicia a visit. I will be back and I will be telling my friends and family about this place!

Great experience at Galicia. The staff were very nice, and enjoyed the chicken tenderness (in plum sauce with potatoes), the crispy potato pancakes, and varenyky dumplings with sour cream. The Kyiv cake was a nice dessert to try. I’d like to come back to try the borscht and cabbage rolls.

this is a very nicely Ukrainian-themed, cozy place to have supper at. loved – and truly enjoyed – their bohrach with authentic Ukrainian kvas, and the Kyiv cake for dessert, which paired really well with a nice hot cup of tea. although the restaurant is a bit pricey, my dining experience was totally worth it!

Loved this restaurant in the old South Wedge location and love it at Braemar now too! If your server tells you there is cheesecake for dessert that isn’t on the menu, I recommend getting it – a nice homemade sort of farmer style cheesecake & always good. We’ve enjoyed recently the Ukrainian sets (three good choices), the tendernesse (great mashed potatoes), and the pickled vegetable plate – delicious!

We had never eaten Ukrainian foods so we defaulted to our waiter. He was superb! He explained the foods and what were in them and even designed our menu for the meal. It did NOT disappoint. Everything was delicious and plenty of food. And of course, lots of sour cream on the side- I guess it’s a cultural thing! Be sure to try the authentic cheesecake-YUM!
We had Borsch, Savoring Ukrainian Sampler, Ukrainian Tenderness (chicken dish)

Incredible food and friendly attentive staff! Waiter was so friendly and helpful, happy to explain anything on the menu. We had the potato and mushroom varenyky, pan seared steak with garlic butter, and the sausage duo. Everything was perfect. Filling, comforting, and fresh. Steak was juicy and tender. We wanted to try the desserts but we’re too full from the meal. Will def be back to try more on the menu!

Ordered food from here, it was all very good. I especially liked the borscht and the varenyky. Their mushroom sauce is also amazing! I really appreciate how well they package everything too. They wrapped my soups up well, and put utensils and a whole bunch of napkins in the bags. A lot of places won’t even give you a fork anymore.
Update: Over a year later and I’m still ordering from them regularly! They’re wonderful people. On my last order they gave me a free gift, which was sweet and completely unexpected! I’d never tried the dish before but it was great (last 2 pics).. I’ve really never had any food from Galicia that wasn’t incredible.
