It is so hard to find fantastic service and fantastic food all encompassed into one visit. I tormented the poor waitress with the “ I am fussy” routine…which I am.” I decided after much debate to have the deep friend haddock and a side Cesar salad, my daughter had the Philly cheesesteak! All I know is that this might be one of the BEST haddock dishes I have ever had. If you eat with your eyes first, my plate was empty. The fish was hot and crispy and had this yummy coating that was like a combination of a light batter with breading. I don’t know what it was and I don’t care. It was amazing. The Caesar salad uses Renee’s dressing, but honestly if you ain’t using homemade that’s the better of the dressings and it didn’t even matter to me it was done so well done it could have passed for homemade. My kid said the Philly cheesesteak could have used a bit more sauce but was still delicious. I took a bite and it was actually really good. But the eggnog cheesecake, God help me it was OUTSTANDING!!!! But the best part of the night was Jayden, she was kind enough not to kick me out, in spite of being difficult. I would come back for the service alone so thank goodness the food was good. She is the epitome of what customer service should look like/

The breakfast option within the Rodd Grand hotel. Ordered the Yarmouth breakfast and fishcake entrees. The Yarmouth is your typical 2 eggs, a side meet, potatoes and toast. My first time to try fishcakes which is basically shredded fish on top of mash potatoes, served with tomato chow. It’s seasoned well; just not my favorite.

You would think if they get people arriving to catch the Ferry in the morning they would have faster service..I assume the kitchen is sloooooooow. I would look someplace else! May skip breakfast here! Never came to refill water!

I disliked the food and the service last time I was in Yarmouth five or six years ago and last week nothing had changed. I was going to leave a detailed review but I won’t. Next time I’m at the Rodd I will eat elsewhere.

Wednesday chicken wing night, after waiting 1 hour and half for our food, very cheap wings smaller than normal, bloody raw uncooked chicken wings, waitress’s reaction tells me this happens a lot, not just mine, my friend’s chicken wings also undercooked, need a visit from food inspector, there should be compensation for food poisoning, but I got none.

Birthday meal with my wife today – I had the “spicy” burger (less mustard) with a Caesar salad as a side – salad great but the burger had no spice at all, no burn no tang nothing disappointing to say the least plus the decafe coffee was bland (I did have two cups but it didn’t get any better !)
My wife’s Philly cheesesteak was only ok (soggy) but the fries were great.
Our server was excellent
It was the first time eating here in several years and goes to prove that Yarmouth is a good food desert.

This place is in a hotel. We just got off the boat and needed a place to eat. Should have went to the motorcycle bar. We got the buttermilk chicken sandwiches. It was all bread there was like no chicken at all. We sat down got our order takin. Took quite a long time. Two parties that came in after us got there food before us. We talked to another waitress about our food and she was gonna check. Mind you we had to reask for the soda that was never given to us that we ordered when the food was order. When our food finally came she forgot to bring our salad. Overall bad experience. We just wanted to eat something and call it a night. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I love great service and you get rewarded for doing a hard job to begin with. This was a zero effort. Find another place in my opinion.

We recently moved to the area and have been to the eatery 3 times. The breakfast was amazing and portion well worth the price. So excited that we invited another couple to join us, after raving about the quality and portion size for dollar value. We visited and there was a large table of eaters ahead of us and 3 other tables of diners. We ordered our usual and friends followed suit.
Our meals were HALF the size as usual. Omelets smaller and overcooked. I counted 10 potatoes on my plate. So disappointed…and so were your “could have been” new patrons. Very unfortunate that quality goes down so much with the number of diners in the restaurant. Servers were polite and consistent but the kitchen definitely failed.

We revisited the eatery recently. Not sure if the review helped but breakfast was completely different experience. Nice portion of potatoes and food was excellent . Definitely a 5 STAR ***** EXPERIENCE again! So happy we gave it another chance. Best potatoes, best breakfast in Yarmouth! WELL DONE. We’ll definitely be back and bring our friends to give it another try!

I had the baked haddock and it was so salty. Tasted like the “chef” used garlic salt instead of fresh garlic. Doing this will make it salty before you start to taste garlic. The cheese cake was good and the service was ok. It seems like it is a hit or miss here, unfortunately.
