A quick bite in the way out of town…and it did not disappoint. I originally thought we weren’t going to be able to get a seat or would have had to wait, but I was wrong. There was a steady turnover, and we was seated immediately.

I had chicken and steak w/ vegetables and baked potato followed by Cheesecake w/strawberries. It was a pleasing experience. The staff was courteous and hard working. I immediately got a table, a server, and a drink. Food was fast, hot, and flavorful. A great restaurant folks.

This was our first time visiting galaxy diner, so I had no expectations apart from all the other diners in the area. I will say there was a warm welcome from the host at the beginning, promptly finding us a place to sit and giving us options based on our preference. We opted for the half booth half chair table and were greeted by our server swiftly.
As far as the food, I ordered the Hungry Man Special, which on the menu states it comes with 2 pancakes, 2eggs any style, home fries/french fries, 2 bacon strips and 2 sausage links. At most diners in my experience, I’ll substitute the 2 bacon strips for sausage as bacon isn’t my favorite and so I was expecting 4 sausage links. When I received my plate with just 3, I politely asked the server if there was a sausage missing just in case it was a mistake. However, the server seemed to have gotten upset and proceeded to lecture me on how if I substitute the bacon for sausage, then I’ll only get a total of 3 sausages.
I didn’t mind getting 3 sausages if that’s the way they operate, now I am aware, but the way she responded in a snappy tone caught me off guard.

This restaurant used to be very good, but over the years it seems to have lost some of its quality. Our waitress did not seem very attentive or professional, which affected the overall experience. The food was okay — not bad, but not as good as we remembered. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, but there is definitely room for improvement.

I had Irish eggs Benedict , the English muffin was not toasted. The eggs were over cooked. I politely told them I could not it because it tasted raw. I had 5 bites and returned to the kitchen. Both men were bullies. I would not recommend this place to eat. Heading over to the hospital now. A third party told me to call the health department. It might not be a bad idea.

Their slogan is “your home away from home” and it rings true. Love this place. Top notch diner in the bridgeport area. And they just switched from “no coke, pepsi” to YES COCA-COLA!!! The staff is professional and willing to make your experience a 10 out of 10. Gina one of the waitresses has served us many time s always has good things to talk about. Never had a bad meal food *especially thier Alfredo sauce its a must have) the Italian trio or the Greek platter the prime rib everything breakfast lunch and dinner is delicious. Thank you galaxy for all the great meals . Ill add photos later
