I ordered the oxtail and rice. The oxtail was the best i’ve ever had, it was extremely tender and full of flavor. The whole meal was incredible, each item was prepared to perfection, from the oxtail to the rice and plantains. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants food that is cooked with love.

I ordered a medium curry chicken and was also sent a few plantains and curry gravy (perfect on top of the rice) without even request. The food was delicious and flavorful! The chicken had a small kick to it which made it even better. I’ll be ordering this again but next time I’m getting the LARGE! Highly recommend

Well I have to say, being from the Caribbean, I’ve never found a West Indian restaurant in North Dakota until NOW !

I grew up on oxtail and I must say, Gail’s oxtail was the best I’ve ever had in my life ! Very tender and seasoned to perfection. Oxtail pieces were HUGE Peas and rice was cooked excellently. Staff was very friendly and professional. I will definitely be returning and telling my friends about this rare gem I found in North Dakota. Wishing you guys much success !

I placed a large group order for a graduation party that had some guests who primarily eat Jamaican food and some who have not had it before. We ordered fried plantains, red snapper, jerk chicken, brown stew chicken, rice and peas and spice bun. Everything was perfectly cooked. Gail was also able to adjust the spice level on some dishes to accommodate our guests. I am excited to hire her for our next event! It is very easy to work with her with ordering and you can tell she is passionate about her food!

As you walk by the countless burger, pizza, taco joints (which I’m sure are good in their own right) pause for a second and ask yourself if you want to bless your tastebuds with the sweet sweet nectar of Gail’s Oxtail! I’m form NYC so my standard for Jamaican food is beyond the realm of comprehension. Gail in freakin FARGO should be heralded. When I arrived she let me know a fresh pot of Oxtail was brewing. I’d skip my child’s christening for the prospect of fresh Oxtail. IFYKYK.

While I waited I had a patty. One bite in I knew the main course was going to be worth the wait.

I truly enjoyed every bite of my Oxtail and the extra gravy. I wish that I was in town longer to try the jerk chicken and curry goat. Don’t let the dinner of your life pass you by. GO TO GAILS!

I WILL BE BACK!

I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal. I had a 3 course meal, specifically the oxtails, rice & peas with steamed veggies and the best Jamaican festivals aka “fried dumplings”. Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I’m from Canada, I moved to Fargo in 2012. My family is from Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica. I grew up with West Indian food. I rarely get it anymore since we all moved away. I found your restaurant yesterday and I ordered today. I took one bite of a Jamaican beef patty and I was back 25 years ago. I’ve been missing my family lately. Thank you. I may be ordering every week lol.

The curry chicken was good. I got a side of Plantain that was good as well , and the rice and peas was all right too! They didn’t say on the menu, but the curry chicken comes with two strips of plantain and a little bit of Jamaican coleslaw.
