Located on Tyler st on the second floor, it’s easy to miss. I’ve probably walked by the place dozens of times and never noticed it. We were promptly seated. Staff were very friendly and gave us complementary tea when we sat down. The interior is two rooms and they have big tables that would be good for groups.
What we got:
– Hot and sour soup
– Eggplant and short rib hot pot
– Lobster sautéed in ginger scallion sauce
The hot and sour was maybe the best I’ve had. It was packed with tofu, mushrooms, and a delicious broth. We ordered a “small” it was huge!
The eggplant and short rib was without a doubt the best I’ve had. The eggplant was perfectly cooked. The beef was incredibly tender. All in a perfect sauce. It came out in a sizzling bowl. This is a dish to dream of.
The sautéed lobster was also a knock-out. Perfectly cooked. I haven’t had this dish often, so I don’t have a lot to compare it to, but we loved it.
I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes. Definitely recommend stopping in!
Not a great place with nice ambience however, the food we tried filled the gap.
Food portion was good enough for to for a single menu item.
Service was not that great as we would prefer some one to talk a bit and explain the menu and serve happily however, it seemed they prefer more of local clientelle.
Seafood is definitely overpriced.
Would recommend to try this restaurant for takeaway (choice of rices, crispy chicken and dim sums).
This is a cheap restaurant so ambience sucks with noisy diners and crammed seating. Don’t take your date unless you’ve been together for a long time. Service is typical Chinese service fast and efficient but not attentive.
Their menu offers a huge variety of different seafood, and it was extremely difficult to choose what to eat. I ended up going for their spicy soft shell crabs and the calamari rice plate. Their rice plates were definitely great value with nicely seasoned calamari and huge portion of rice. However, I didn’t quite enjoy their soft shell crabs. They were not crispy at all and it seemed like they were not very fresh before they were cooked.
Overall, I would recommend going for their rice plates, but I’m not sure if the regular entrée seafood menus are worth their price tag.
