Chipotle pricing with Taco Bell quality. Server seemed annoyed with explaining choices as a first time guests. Tortilla soup was just regular vegetable soup. Food was extremely salty and bland. Overall cleanliness was 2 out of 5 stars and a lot of the utensils were empty. $40 for two lunch specials and a soup? Gadzooks you’ve lost your mind!

Excellent food and fun restaurant concept. Good overall value considering the food is high quality and I appreciate their generous portions of meats. Everything has lots of flavor. Maybe I missed it on the menu but my one suggestion would be to offer a side of plain white rice to balance out the spiciness of the food.

Delicious food! The enchiladas were amazing! Added the corn bread side, which I highly recommend! The fired up brick oven melts the cheese to perfection! We also had wonderful service from the employee behind the counter, giving us the run down of the menu and recommendations to try!

This place fits into the build it your way restaurant but with their own twist with enchiladas, soups and even stuffed peppers. We really have enjoyed our meals here. I like the red sauce better than the green on the enchiladas and the beef was tasty. The tortilla soup has a good kick to it as well. I am yet to try the pumpkin cookies but they do look good. We will definitely be back, it is a unique twist for sure.

Fantastic enchiladas at Gadzooks. Food is freshly prepared in front of you. Ingredients have terrific flavor. I recommend the braised short rib enchiladas with red sauce, which has an excellent smoky flavor. Chips and salsa are excellent. Habanero sauce has a great kick. You will not be disappointed.

It was our first time and we had a great experience. Alexis was great asking if it was our first time in which is great considering they recently opened. It wasn’t busy so I’m sure this helped but he took his time explaining the menu and options. He was really nice and provided service you don’t get often. It’ll be interesting to see if this continues when they are really busy because there were only two on staff.
The food was really good, richer and heavier than I expected. They have a corn/flower mix tortilla or straight corn. I had 3 tacos, bison, beef, and pork. Bison is definitely worth ordering. We even had cheese crisps which wasn’t on the menu. Even the cookies they had were good. My wife’s enchiladas looked great. Suprised they don’t have sides. I will try a salad next time for sure.
I actually like that they are cashless. Saves everyone time and Apple or Google pay is easy to use. They Squares loyalty system which makes it really easy to earn points. We will eat there again.

Tried the Tempe location several years ago and thought it was pretty good but never returned since I’m not in that area much. They just opened the new location across the street from my neighborhood so decided to give it a try again tonight since I didn’t want to travel far from the house for food.
I wish they would have had the prices listed on their website, I wasn’t really looking to spend that much for dinner and like everybody else their prices increased quite a bit. I was disappointed to see a sign saying they are a cashless restaurant, very disappointed in any business that is taking away our precious cash payment and the opportunity to pay with it if we choose to. I hope they reverse this policy, it costs the business money to pay credit card fees so maybe they could offer cheaper pricing if they also allowed cash payment. This is a much bigger issue but I won’t go into politics here.
With that said, I got two enchiladas and a poblano pepper. Got 2 stuffed with pork and one with chicken. I had it smothered half with green sauce and half with red so that I could try both again. Both were good but I think I like green better. The green has a slight spice to it but nothing terrible.
I think I will ask for cheese inside next time as well as they only put it on top. Would be amazing on with both. Extra sauce would be great as well.
Staff was friendly, restaurant clean and new inside. They offer patio seating as well. From what I can see there’s no misters, so might not be able to use much longer or during the afternoon even now since it’s hot.
Will come again.

LOVE the food here! Don’t know why anyone would choose to go to places like Chipotle when this is an option. Great options like Bison, green chile chicken, smashed Jack potato, sweet & spicy cornbread filling. Reasonable prices for quality, yummy fast food.

First time in and couldn’t be happier! Poblanos were delicious and the grapefruit margarita was perfect. Honestly the best part was the service. Lex was just awesome. He was patient and offered to go over the menu for us. He gave helpful suggestions as well. You really just hardly see such good customer service these days. Great job, we’ll definitely be back!
