The food outshines the restaurant and service, both of which were lackluster. It’s a basic no-frills bbq joint…they don’t have salt and pepper on the table, and the mac-n-cheese begs for both.

We had the ribs plate, brisket plate and brisket sandwich with gumbo side. On the plates, a tiny portion cup of BBQ sauce accompanies the included Mac and cheese and choice of slaw, fries or beans.

The slaw was fresh, crunchy and delicious! Mac was made with real cheese and quite tasty despite needing salt, pepper and hot sauce. The ribs were smoky and flavorful. Brisket was a bit on the dry side but not too fatty. The sandwich had a nice toasted bun.
No ice with waters, and no iced tea option which was surprising. Pass on the gumbo…its nothing like southern gumbo so not worth the small extra charge.

The room is small, with a small bar area with what looks like 4 taps. A unisex bathroom is clean but water pressure begs for a plumber’s attention. Good prices for the portions.

Best BBQ in this area. We’ve tried others, but we always end up back here. That should tell you everything.

Always awesome! The brisket is perfectly smoked and the chicken is so tender and delicious! The homemade sauces are outstanding- best BBQ in Washington St

Fantastic fries, 7-8/10 pork, the sauces are good. Legitimately spicy bbq which I appreciate. Bread could definitely be softer for bbq sandwiches, kinda skimpy on the meat portions of the sandwiches. Typical PNW attitude customer service wise but it’s where we are so makes sense.

Been here quite a few times since 2021. We get bummed they’re closed on days we crave bbq. This most recent time (Thurs evening) we got a chicken sandwich combo (side fries) and brisket sandwich combo (side fries). $31 & change was the total. Still tasty. My partner isn’t partial to the bun, but to each their own.

Pretty nice little restaurant. The waiter was nice and friendly enough. He didn’t check on me too much while I was eating. But to be fair I ate fast and didn’t give him that much time to check on me. It was an all right meal overall.

I ordered:

Brisket: It was thin and a small serving. Which is common of these kinds of places. But it was a bit bland and dry. I ate all of it because it was still smoked meat and that was good by itself. But it wasn’t amazing.

Mac and cheese: it was again, fine. It tasted like Mac and cheese. Nothing special about it. But I ate all of it because it was noodles and cheese. That’s good by itself again.

Potato salad: PERSONALLY I didn’t like the potato salad. It was kinda dry and I disliked the flavors in it. I think there was celery and maybe some dill? I couldn’t really tell. I wasn’t a fan. But other people might like it

Sweet BBQ sauce: I’m sorry I can’t remember the name. The waiter recommended it to me. I really liked this sauce. I think that where this place might shine is in its sauces. But I only got the one taste so who knows.

Additionally, there was no cornbread on the menu and that made me sad.

The price of the meal came out to 20.17. kinda spendy, but to be expected of BBQ. I just wish it had been overall better. But it was still a fine meal.

Food was delicious! Service was good and quick. If you haven’t found this place yet, make an effort to get here!

I had the brisket sandwich combo (chose a side of macaroni and cheese) and inhaled it! So quickly I forgot to get a picture of it. ‍♂️

Guess I have to go back!

We tried it for the 1st time and sadly not impressed. Service was very nice though for 2, not very abundant sandwiches that came with 1 side and 2 pints of beer was $55. Couldn’t really taste the sauce on the sandwiches so bought some extra for 2 and change….we got a “shot glass” of sauce. Evidently there’s no preservatives but let’s be real, a BBQ joint should have ample sauce options and if an extra charge is part of the deal then actually GIVE SOME. Anyway, we’re not from Seattle and we actually know excellent BBQ, Puget Sound has a couple though this place just isn’t one of them. Out of respect I’ll not name the 2 other very credible amazing BBQ joints here in Seattle. That being said, this place has potential, though as of now, not achieved.

This guy loves his meat! Currently just offering take out, I got the brisket, which was amazing without any sauce. The coleslaw is also fantastic! Mac and cheese was ok. If you’re looking for BBQ you need to check this place out. Small parking lot is plenty for take out crowd.
