I am a sucker for tapas and also for fresh seafood. This place delivers.

They had a regular menu and also a seasonal menu, which we ordered the triple tail from. Simple but delicious fresh deep fried fish.

From the regular menu we ordered the ceviche de camarón y pescado, patatas bravas, and albondigas (fancy pants meatballs).

Everything was excellent, but the simple, unassuming tapas staple patatas bravas was the winner here. It was packed with flavor and I just kept coming back to it even though there was fresh seafood.

Service was speedy and friendly. Would absolutely come here again.

We visited the day after Valentine’s Day, so they were out of stock of the Spanish sausage and did not have fresh oysters. Bummer but understandable. (speaking of Valentine’s Day, do not go to Copano’s, you can go to my profile and read my review if you want the horror story)

This place is also credit card only. Yes we paid with a card and it wasn’t a problem but this is my soapbox: every business should be required to take cash because it is, well, actual, physical money. You know, the thing our society’s economy is based on. Credit cards can be denied for dumb reasons, especially when traveling. Authoritarian governments can make it so you can’t use a bank if they don’t like what you’re saying. I’m sounding tinfoil hat here but the past year+ has me worried for the future, and this “no-cash” trend is not encouraging.

Short version ! After visiting the area this weekend, we decided to grab a quick bite before driving home. Gabriela’s had good reviews and served seafood, which we love.
The fish tacos were GREAT! -prepared by chef Alex.
On the way out of Gabriela’s I noticed “we will cook your fresh catch” (something along those lines)
After catching Reds today, we wanted to put this service to the test. We called and asked what was the process to have our fish brought in and cooked, yet, we didn’t want to dine in. The host then connected us with to Chef Adam (who is not only an amazing chef, but a nice, down to earth guy) We provided the fish and foil pan and in return received the best meal! We have guest coming to visit next month and we are doing a repeat! Highly recommend .

We stumbled upon Gabriela’s by complete accident. We were on vacation, planning to go to The Boiling Pot, but lost track of time they had stopped accepting customers. So we googled seafood restaurants nearby. We walked in and were greeted by a smile and seated immediately. Our waitress gave us a rundown on recommendations. When I say absolutely everything was phenomenal, it is no joking matter. I truly hope someone sees this review. And decides to give it a try the way that we did. We come to Texas every two years, and I’m excited to go back.

Where to start with this review? Probably with Natalie, the excellent server who greeted me with instant warmth—just like the hostess. I didn’t have a reservation and was just hoping to grab a table or even sit at the bar, and the staff could not have been kinder. The food? Even better.
I started with their signature spicy pineapple margarita—absolutely incredible. Then came the tuna tostada and patatas bravas!! So beautiful and delicious – followed by the best ultimate bread pudding and ice cream to go! I’m still dreaming about that dinner! I lived in Spain – these are exquisite tapas!
Gabriela’s Seafood and Tapas is a stunning spot whether you’re on a romantic date, celebrating something special, or just craving the most delicious food in Rockport. Thank you for having me—I can’t wait to come back! I’m adding some additional pictures and videos so you can get the complete vibe of lovely scenic serene Rockport Texas!

Gabriella’s in Rockport is the real deal. The meatballs alone are worth the trip — hands down some of the best I’ve ever had. Happy hour is a must: tapas-style small plates, fun vibes, and surprisingly reasonable prices. The staff is warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in. This place is a Rockport gem. Five stars, no hesitation. We’ll be back!

We LOVED Gabriela’s! The restaurant had a very cool vibe, the food was fantastic, and our service was superb. We had the seafood tacos, strawberry grouper bites, and queso de cabra. All 3 of those dishes were fantastic! Our waiter, Matt, was super helpful and attentive. He was great! Would highly recommend Gabriela’s for anyone looking for fantastic food in Rockport!

Amazing menu – a palette explosion you might say. Enjoy the tapas dining style – pick out your favorites or ask for some assistance – I challenge you to find something that is not wonderful.

The best key lime pie ever – a most unique crust. This place is a hidden gem in Rockport – stop by and let your festivities begin.

I was dying to try Gabriella’s since moving here and made a reservation with a new friend at 5:30. We Made it in about 540 and the restaurant was pretty much empty. We ordered two starters, chili shrimp and tuna tostada and then an entrée which was the the special, paella. The starters came out immediately but the paella never came out. I was only drinking soda and I could tell the waitress was slightly annoyed to keep filling it, but I didn’t understand why. Eventually, she came over and asked us if we wanted any dessert and I told her we were still waiting on the paella. He response was “ ok” but I could tell from her face that she had forgotten. When I asked if she forgot, she just said she didn’t hear me. I asked if It would take a while and she said 10 to 15 minutes. She came back about five minutes later and told us that the special had run out. She then offered a dessert on her. I felt that she was just trying to push us out as the restaurant had filled up by this point. I think we absolutely should’ve been offered an entrée which I would’ve gladly paid for and taken the free dessert. Having never met this friend before, I didn’t want to push the issue so we took the dessert and left two hours after our reservation.
I don’t want to put this completely on the waitress because I know it’s hard being a server and you never want to go to your management after making a mistake but we really should’ve been offered actual food and not made to feel like we needed to leave.
