I started with the French onion soup, and it was exactly what I was imagining—rich, warm, and comforting. We also ordered the pulled pork sandwich, bourbon shrimp starter (the shrimp were HUGE), chicken tenders, and the Reuben sandwich. I took a taste of everything and honestly, I’d order any of them again.
The Reuben really surprised me. I usually don’t care for sauerkraut, but this one completely won me over. Between that and the French onion soup alone, I’d definitely go back.
Dessert did not disappoint—candy cane mousse was tasty, chocolate mousse was really good, but the chocolate flan stole the show. Huge and absolutely delicious.
Can’t wait to go back and try breakfast!
We have NEVER gone to a restaurant twice in one day I immediately ordered the fried Pickles. I order these every restaurant I go to if on menu. By far Gabriela’s has THE best fried Pickles I’ve ever had.
All around exceptional experience both times!
Food was amazing and reasonably priced. Our server Emily was fantastic and very informative about all the menu specials, weekend entertainment and upcoming restaurant specials!
Can’t wait to go back!
This was our 2nd meal with the new ownership. Our first was for breakfast which was a nice filling meal… absolutely no complaints about that meal.
Now this 2nd visit was a last minute decision. We were starving after not eating most of the day… we showed up about 745pm and were greeted warmly by the hostess who even brought us our beverages. Our bus boy was on top of keeping the water glasses topped off and was a cheerful sort of fella.
Emily came over with a great big smile and took our orders… I asked about their homemade Pazole because I am allergic to chicken… she kindly went and asked the chef if it was chicken broth based, and sure enough it was… my loss because my husband enjoyed a cup of it from the salad, soup and BAKED POTATO bar. He raved about the slow cooked taste of the broth.
Of course my husband, with little desire to try new things, ordered the 12 oz Prime Rib which was trimmed nicely because it was served without too much fat; he said that it was cooked a little more than he liked (well it was near closing time, so of course there won’t be much rare meat left is what I think), he said that he didn’t complain because it was super tender the way it came out. A side of Brussel Sprouts was served with it. I enjoyed a few bites of the mini cabbages and was pleasantly surprised with the depth of flavor in them, they were tender and silky at the same time while exuding a down home cooked taste.
I on the other hand decided to try the meatloaf. I am not much of a red meat eater because its difficult for me to chew. Was I surprised to see this big hunk of meat shaped similar to a burger patty, but thicker, come out piled high with freshly made to order French Fried Onions – if you’ve only had the kind that comes in a canister YOU ARE MISSING OUT on a little piece of Heaven right here on this earth!
Under the onions there was a fabulous creamy piece of melted guyere cheese… when I cut into the meat, I was met with a bit of resistance, why you ask? BECAUSE IT WAS WRAPPED IN BACON! What a nice treat that turned out to be. This concoction of meat, cheese and deep fried onions sat atop a luscious mound of creamy and buttery mashed potatoes. To top it off, there was a nice velvety demi glace (broth gravy) drizzled all about which tied all the flavors together.
I can hardly wait until they get their live music venue operating on a somewhat normal frequency so we can enjoy dinner AND music!
All in all, I personally appreciate having a nice restaurant open in the area again.
I would highly recommend stopping in for a bite!
The service was one of the worst parts about our visit. The host that sat us never said hello or made eye contact she just said over here as she started walking away, we had to assume she was talking to us. Our waitress was not good, it’s possible she was just new. It took quite a while before she came up to take our food order, never did ask what we wanted to drink we had to remind her after we ordered food. Once we did get our meals we had empty coffee and ice tea glasses most of the time. And it again took too long to get our bill. Even after she asked if we needed a to go box we still had to flag her down to get the bill. Once again after getting the bill several minutes later we had to flag her down again just to pay.
We had high hopes for this place because it’s just a couple minutes down the road for us but unfortunately we won’t be going back and don’t recommend going.
Gabriella’s is a perfect fit for the area. You’re greeted with a smile, the staff and servers are all so friendly and the food is wonderful and the portions are perfectly sized for an incredible Home-cooked meal while dining out. Their Lounge has live music and everyone is just happy to be there. It is definitely a recommended destination.
