Gables Bagels provided the IU D3 hockey team with bagels after a game last weekend! A lot of the guys had never had them and absolutely loved them! The chive cream cheese is to die for!!

Thank you Gables Bagels for supporting local teams! We hope to do something again in the future!!

We have used Gables Bagels several times to support our sales team in there on location presentations. The team makes this process seamless for us by having our orders ready on time for pick-up or delivery and set up. Nathan and his staff is over top with their customer service. Smiles, helpful and great attitudes at 7:00 am. The extreme bonus is when Ed (the owner) personally makes the delivery. Ed loves to educate us on why there bagels are the best. Great work guys.
Thanks Glenn Harris of Harris Services.

Visiting from Alabama for the senior week. I don’t think I have ever been to a business with such an enthusiastic owner. He connected with every customer. He also kept the extremely long line moving but at the same time took the time to connect with us and offer recommendations- asking if we were first time visitors/where we were from. So 10 out of 10 on the atmosphere and culture. We ordered a salted bagel with strawberry- so good and the jalapeño popper breakfast sandwich and split it so we got both sweet and savory. It was a great combo. My other daughter got the jalapeño popper and ended up taking half of it home to eat for breakfast tomorrow- it was very filling. There was a wait time but we expected that because of how popular the place is. That is a normal situation and the owner seemed aware yet grateful to be busy :). Worth the wait.

I chose the worst time to go to Gables Bagels- parents weekend, the morning after the annihilation of Illinois 63-10 🙂
The place was mobbed, of course. After waiting in line to order for 45+ minutes, I decided to try the Mendoza Brothers Cubano.
After my daughter placed her usual veggie sausage breakfast sandwich. I ordered it.
Ed was so enthusiastic about it, telling us how great the Mendoza family is, and how they told him it was “the best Cuban sandwich they’ve ever had”, I was skeptical. I know Ed wants to promote his products, but being that they are from Miami, I thought that Ed was just selling me.
I too am from Cuban lineage and have a very critical mindset for these.
Well, I’m happy to say it was right on. The mojo roast pork and the authentic ingredients were the real deal!
My only negative take was that the time delay to get it out left the bagel sweaty and a bit soggy. That just made it a mess to handle but had no affect on the flavor.
Gabby, at the register, with her friendly smile and welcoming attitude was a pleasure.
Kudos Ed!! Can’t wait to try your new shop in Zionsville on 10/31.
Ate it at the curb, of course. 😉

From out of town visiting and was told to check out this place. Very disappointing service, had to wait 30 minutes for a simple bagel sandwhich. 5 people who came after me got their bagels first, lots of online orders which I understand but waiting this long with not a lot of space to wait was inconvenient. Once my bagel was ready to go the lady was so rude and literally threw my bagel on the counter and was like “here”. I had to ask for a bag. Which seemed to have inconvenienced her. The guy was super nice, the other left much to be desired. If I’m spending $20 plus tip on a bagel I expect at the very least good customer service. Won’t be back, there are other places to go where you will be treated with common courtesy. All for a bagel.smh

Stopped in today and got two salt bagels with salmon schmear and two bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwiches. All four of us were impressed. Did not disapoint it was so good! Big shout out to Kristine R and Bryce for exceptional customer service. Kristine greeted us and gave us one of the nicest encounters we had so far in Bloomington. We ended up bringing some frozen salt bagels and matzo ball soup home with us for supper. If you are ever in Bloomington I highly recommend stopping by Gables Bagels.

God where do I even start. This bagel shop is TOP TIER. Once you eat here, you will understand. They serve the best bagels I have ever had (and I am not exaggerating). You get cream cheese on it and they say “spare no expense” and they give you a ton of it. It is legitimately so good, and if you have an airfryer at home, I recommend you take your bagel home and airfry it for a few minutes. It makes it so much better, but both ways are great.

Now, the service is impeccable. Ed, the owner, frequently works at the shop and makes conversation with customers seemlessly and in such a friendly way. If you are having a bad day, grabbing a bagel and talking to Ed for a minute will turn your frown upside down. Ed brings the New York friendliness to his bagel shop, and I could not be happier with it.

Finally, the atmosphere. It feels like home. What could otherwise be some shop on the corner of an outlet strip is suddenly feeling like home. The people are happy when they go to Gables Bagels. When the food is great and when the service is great, there is no doubt that the atmosphere will be great. With that being said, I can confirm. It is very clean, looks nice, and they spare no expense keeping it that way. A family-owned business being ran incredibly well and I couldn’t be happier. Best of luck Ed and I hope the shop continues with success!

I was visiting my alma mater for a wedding this weekend and a group of 5 of us decided to get Gables Bagles for the first time. Ed Schwartzman (the owner) gives off the best positive vibes. He was taking orders and while we were eating and he was making sure everyone ordered the best version of their bagel. The atmosphere was incredible, the bagels were fresh and delicious, and Ed was the best part. Thank you!
