I read about this place on Facebook. I just had to stop in. What a fun treat! The woman owner and the employees were very friendly.

Visit their kiodisk. A menu with pictures. See my pics. The kiodisk provides more details than their hard copy menu.

I had the bacon baked dumpling and ube cheesecake dessert. Very different. Dessert was awesome. I look forward to new offerings and checking out other menu options. Your orders are made to order. Nice to get it fresh instead of stale.

Stunning visuals with the food and drinks. Very friendly and kind workers, instant greeting and upbeat demeanor. Lovely music not too loud or quiet that adds to the bright atmosphere. They had a super cute Valentine’s event and have a lion dance coming up that I look forward to attending. You can order up front, at a table, or at the kiosk as you prefer. Lots of seating and very comfortable without being too crowded or overwhelming. Food made fresh to order but didn’t take long to get out – fresh and hot! Great flavors on the food and drink, I had the pineapple bun which was sweet without being overly so and had a delicious taro filling with great consistency. Wasn’t overfull where you couldn’t get the bread on its own but not so little that there was no filling. Great balance. The tea was perfection and the subtle flavors came to life e with no additives. And they offered more hot water! A rarity nowadays. Even after we sat down everyone was attentive and open, without hovering. Gorgeous place with great people and great products. I look forward to coming for a long time!

My wife and I have visited several times and it’s one of our favorite coffee shops. We have tried so many items on their menu. Food and drinks have been consistently good. Service has been great! No issues whatsoever. Highly recommended.

I found this place on total accident and had to go in because it looked so cute!
I am so happy that they have red date and goji berry tea (iykyk). Ever since I moved to Jacksonville from Miami I haven’t found anywhere selling that kind of tea in a cafe setting, so I’m glad I finally found a place that has it.
My husband got the rose strawberry latte and he loved it. We also got a cupcake and the cream doughnut which were so delicious. We will be back soon to try the food next time, everything looked so good!

Edit: I went back to try more and everything was absolutely delicious. It was hard to choose what to get but we ended up getting the Dragon’s Fire tofu, the Potato Salad Toast and the Pistachio Strawberry Hong Kong French Toast. Everything is made to order and it all tasted fresh and delicious. I also got the biscoff cream latte, my husband got a latte in one of the ice cream cone cups. This is our new favorite cafe!

Beautiful and cute cafe located in Baymeadows. This cafe is serving a variety of unique flavored coffees such as Creamy Black Sesame Banana Latte, Ube Latte, Rose Strawberry Latte, Iced Cotton Candy Vanilla Latte, and so much more! Not to mention their pastries and small plates that I have not seen in any other coffee shops. My favorites are the egg tart, pineapple bun, donut with cream filling (not sweet! I loved it!) and cream cheese pastry!

They also offer delicious small plates such as beef, lamb, and duck bao buns, century eggs, spicy Sichuan cucumber donuts, tofu suki, and many more dishes I can’t wait to try the next time I visit.

Definitely stop by and support this locally owned business, I highly recommended!

I absolutely love this place—the amazing breakfasts, the cookies, and I think it’s the best coffee shop around. The staff are so sweet and friendly, and the owner is a true entrepreneur. I really admire people like that. It’s a charming and delightful spot—you should definitely come here with your friends and family.

My friend and I ride motorcycles on the weekend looking for unique cafes and coffee shops. To our surprise a new one popped up on Baymeadows!
Gaa Cafe!
A cafe that highlights the “flavors of Hong Kong”.
It was absolutely charming. Super cute atmosphere, extremely friendly staff, and will definitely be back for the food and drinks!
We had: A pineapple and ube mochi donut(large one on the right), honey mochi buns, and and Egg tart. For drinks, an iced Oolong tea with lemon, and matcha latte (I think).
The egg tart was by far my favorite, it was so savory, light and crispy with the perfect sweetness. The crunchy honey mochi buns were a bit heavier but also had the perfect sweetness, and the pineapple ube bun was light and filling!
The matcha was pretty standard! But my oolong was incredible! It was so light and freshing, the lemon complimented the black tea SO well!

I even overheard someone trying their beverage (it was a blue drink) and they said it tasted like lucky charms, so I may have to find that!

Overall: I absolutely look forward to coming back, and would urge you to try it as well!
Feedback: I didn’t realize until AFTER we ordered that they had some unique (small plate) food options! Make sure to look through the kiosk, cause the menu on the counter had it at the bottom so it got a bit lost. The kiosk had some pretty pictures for reference!

I won’t be returning. Most of the items served here are not authentic Hong Kong-style — and having eaten plenty in Hong Kong, the difference is obvious.

The pastry display didn’t look very appetizing, so I played it safe and ordered the “HK-style” French toast, one of the most classic cha chaan teng dishes. Despite the café not being busy, the wait was around 30 minutes, along with just two drinks.

When the French toast finally arrived, it was a big disappointment. This was not Hong Kong-style at all — just a single thick slice of toast with a bit of egg underneath, a light drizzle of syrup, and a small pat of butter. Authentic HK French toast should be two thick slices of white bread with peanut butter in between, fully egg-coated and pan- or deep-fried, then served generously with butter and syrup or condensed milk.

Service didn’t help the experience either. The toast was dry, so I asked for a little more syrup. The owner insisted there was already syrup on it and initially refused. Only after I raised my voice did they reluctantly bring more, which shouldn’t have been necessary.

The drinks were mediocre and forgettable.

If you miss Hong Kong–style desserts, Gaa Cafe in Jacksonville is the place to go. It really brings back the familiar flavors from back home. The Hong Kong–style French toast was amazing—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and exactly the taste I’ve been craving. Definitely worth trying!

I recently visited GAA Cafe on Baymeadows Road, and the first thing that stood out was the decor and atmosphere. The space is beautifully done—unique, cozy, and extremely Instagrammable. Every corner feels thoughtfully designed, making it a great spot to hang out, relax, and take some great photos.

The drinks were visually stunning with very creative and unique presentations. You can tell a lot of effort went into how they’re served, which adds to the overall experience. Taste-wise, I found them good but fairly okay, not something that blew me away, but still enjoyable.

Overall, GAA Cafe is a great place if you’re looking for a vibe-driven café with a standout aesthetic and creative drinks. Definitely worth visiting for the ambiance and experience alone, especially if you enjoy places with character and style. ✨☕
