Reviews
We started with the chilli chicken, and it was probably the most underwhelming dish of the night. The sauce was thick, jelly-like, and overly sticky, with almost no real flavor. It lacked the bold, spicy, tangy kick you’d expect from a good chilli chicken.
The seekh kebab was extremely dry and didn’t taste fresh. It lacked seasoning and depth, and the texture made it difficult to enjoy. It honestly felt like it had been sitting out for a while.
The goat curry was better compared to the other dishes, but still fell short. While the meat was decent, the gravy lacked richness, spice balance, and that slow-cooked depth of flavor you expect from a proper goat curry.
The biggest surprise was the dal tadka — a dish that’s usually hard to mess up. Unfortunately, it was bland and uninspiring, missing the smoky tempering and comforting flavor that makes dal tadka such a staple.
On the positive side, the service was good — staff were attentive and polite — and the ambience was pleasant and comfortable. However, good service and decor can’t make up for food that lacks flavor.
Overall, very disappointing experience. I won’t be returning or recommending this place
The staff was super attentive without being overbearing. This is going to be added to my go to every time I go to DC!
One thing to note: the dragon sauce is extremely hot. If you’re someone who loves seriously spicy food, you’ll probably enjoy it, but it’s definitely not for the faint of heart.
All in all, a nice spot with good service and flavorful dishes, especially for anyone looking to kick their spice level up a notch.
The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it a great place to unwind and enjoy a good meal. The food overall was very good, and their lamb qorma was excellent — tender, flavorful, and beautifully seasoned. A couple of dishes could have been a bit more consistent, but nothing that took away from the experience in a meaningful way.
We got the Tiki Masala and I appreciated that they let you choose the slice level on any entree. The cocktails were pretty good as well.
Highly recommend!
Also try the tandoori wings and the Punjabi dessert. Sooo good!
Nice hospitality and they will make you feel like home and serve the food with their heart out.
They have bar and serve all kinds of drinks like cocktails whiskey etc
We ordered samosas fish tikka and spinach corn
Also they got variety in samosas that is veg and non veg
They make sure you are treated well. Place that Indians would surely like
Update: I brought a friend with me on a subsequent visit and she also ordered the butter chicken and she thought it tasted outstanding too.
