The original G&M Restaurant was founded in 1974 as a neighborhood pizza shop. The old pizza shop evolved into a casual family restaurant over the years to include a number of dining rooms, as well as a lounge. A minor renovation occurred in 1993 when the business changed hands. While the restaurant may have looked a little different, the emphasis on high quality meals, served in generous portions at reasonable prices continued. Since 1993, word of mouth brought the G&M name to the top of many food lovers lists for having great food and a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. An absolutely outstanding experience at G&M Seafood. From the moment we sat down, Destiny delivered service that was truly out of this world — attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and on point the entire time. She made us feel welcomed and well taken care of from start to finish.
The crab cakes were phenomenal — packed with flavor, loaded with crab meat, and exactly what you hope for when you order a signature Maryland crab cake: no shells, no fillers, just pure quality.

I’ve lived near G&M for over 20 years but I had never eaten there. We stopped in for lunch the other day, and boy have we been missing out. We were seated in less than 5 minutes, and our waitress Jill showed up. She was great! We ordered a wedge salad and crab dip appetizers. G&M are famous for their crab cakes, but we opted for a burger (we saw one go by and it looked awesome). Jill told us we could order a tub of pre-made crab cake and cook them at home. Everything was delicious! Fresh, tasty, perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked. Im a bit of a crab cake snob, they have to be just right — and G&M makes them just right! Best crab cakes in the area. Do yourself a favor – if you’ve driven by before, stop in and ask for Jill. You won’t be disappointed!!

A favorite after flying into BWI. Amazing crab dip and calamari. Garlic shrimp linguine was very good. Lasagna was interesting with a strong anise/ cinnamon meat sauce. Managers were very accommodating when we asked to move tables. Luke was an awesome server: very attentive and entertaining.

Overall solid choice. There’s free parking, friendly staff, and a nice environment. The food is good but may be considered by some as slightly pricey, but still somewhat reasonable. My wife got the seafood platter, which she enjoyed; my son the baked crab imperial, which he definitely enjoyed. As for me, I had a prime rib sandwich, which was so so. But to be fair, they are better with seafood so I didn’t have high expectations. We finished up with desserts, which were decent.

The crab cakes are moist and tasty! We ordered the avocado salad, delicious! Service was good, food arrived extremely fast, our waitress could have been a little more attentive. My husband and I split our items and no one returned to give him a dinner plate. Other than that, I’d definitely recommend.

WOOOW! My entire food order was SIMPLY DELICIOUS!!! The Single Imperial & Stuffed Salmon , all of the sides were amazing & portions was more than enough. Leftovers for 2 days. The CHEF (Bravo) and the carryout team need a triple raise. Great hospitality over the phone. To G&M management and the entired staff, keep up the good work. God bless!

We had an incredible experience at G & M! We started with a half dozen oysters, and they were absolutely fantastic — fresh, briny, and perfectly chilled. The seared scallops were amazing, cooked to perfection with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The risotto was honestly some of the best I’ve had in a long time — creamy, flavorful, and something I couldn’t get enough of. The asparagus was cooked perfectly, adding a great balance to the plate.
We also tried the single crab cake, and wow… it was huge — about the size of a baseball! The flavor was off the charts, packed with sweet jumbo lump crab meat and perfectly seasoned. The broccoli on the side was slightly undercooked, but honestly, the crab cake stole the show, so it hardly mattered.
Our server was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. As a craft beer fan, I was also happy to see they had a few solid choices on tap, which paired really well with the seafood.
Overall, G & M delivered a top-notch dining experience. Amazing food, excellent service, and great drinks — I can’t wait to come back next time I’m in the area!

Second time here and they knocked it out of the ballpark again. Country fried steak was excellent. The girlfriend had the blueberry pancakes and loved them. The scrambled eggs were a little bland. They forgot my toast but other than that everything was great.

The crab cake is worth the price of admission! Had half dozen charbroiled oysters, which were ok, but the winner and staple here is the crab cake. Just enough filler to hold the softball sized crab cake together. The first time I was here I got a double sandwich and it was enormous! So the single platter today was satisfying and delicious!
