The staff is awesome. Very welcoming, efficient and had some great advice during my cocktail dilemma…. The First Lady (had Campari) or The Robyn (had Cynar). Went with their suggestion and did The Robyn. I think it might be my new favorite cocktail.

The menu had so many good choices, it was hard to pick so we went with the each-person-select-twoish-items for a family-style share meal (more good advice!).

We ate the Crunchmaster Crisp, Carrots + Citrus, Grilled Rapini, Fried Chicken, Ravioli Francobolli, Black Cod Almondine, Fingerling Potatoes, Spoonful of Smores.

I’d be willing to eat any of them again, but if I had to pick a favorite it would be the Crunchmaster Crisp. It had an amazing flavor profile (fresh/nutty/light sweetness/earthy/etc) and excellent mix of textures from the crunchy shallots to the leafy herbs to the charred cabbage…. A close second was the Ravioli Francobolli with it’s perfectly cooked pasta and sauce level. The earthiness of the mushrooms and tanginess of the Robiola La Tur was so flipping good.

While it didn’t happen on this visit, I am definitely plotting a return trip so I can order The Crusty Avocado. The peeks I got of the half avocado fully covered in a white/black seed mix topped with fresh ahi tuna traveling to other tables was legit drool worthy.

G-Love in Slabtown continues to be one of our absolute favorites in Portland. The new menu is incredible. The apple salad is always my go-to and somehow gets better every time, and the tuna with avocado is something I genuinely dream about. Everything feels fresh, thoughtful, and perfectly balanced.

Chef Garrett is doing an incredible job and you can really feel the care and creativity behind the food. The entire space has this timeless, welcoming energy that makes it feel like a true neighborhood classic and a place you always want to return to. Their NA drinks are also the best in Portland hands down.

We’re especially excited that they’re opening for brunch and cannot wait to come back and experience it. G-Love is one of those places we know we’ll keep returning to all year.

I came here for a year end dinner with some friends. The place was pretty busy and made me forget that it was a Sunday winter night. We ordered the family style menu, where the chef decides what we get. It was an easy decision for us as we didn’t want to think. The food came out pretty quick and was excellent. I really enjoyed the fingerling potatoes, ensalata bomba, and the grilled bavette. The drinks were also pretty good and interesting especially the Goldie Hawn – cheerio infused whiskey, coconut water, vanilla, and sesame. Overall, a great experience with friends.

Amazing time at G Love! I loved seeing the kitchen! Our mocktails were so tasty and the skewers were perfect sized bites (our favorite was the maple pork belly!) Other great items on the menu were the crusty avocado, beet cured salmon, cioppino, and fried chicken! Don’t skip dessert, we got the golden cloud which had a foam on top of ice cream- so good! Ambiance of the restaurant was cool (I loved the lava lamp!) and the service was great! We’ll be back to try the family style!

Everything is fantastic here – service, food, wine and drink selection. Such a fun spot for a special occasion. The crusty avocado, grilled portobello, rainbow carrots, cauliflower a la plancha, skewers, and crunch master crisp were stand outs for us. It’s refreshing to have so many fantastic vegetarian options while also having great meat options.

While the prices are high, the portions are larger than you’d get at most other places of this caliber and it is so worth it.

Small-plate style dining. Definitely a great date night find if you are in for amazing food and ambiance.

Must tries are the crunchy avocado(do not miss this!), crunchmaster salad, fingerling potatoes and fried chicken.

Portions are small and enough for 2-4 little bites, so dont come too hungry It is worth it though coz everything’s delicious!!

Looking for parking is a challenge. Servers are friendly.

This restaurant is perfect.
The parking is difficult to find and expensive. Not the restaurant’s fault.

This restaurant gets the She Ash Most Beautiful Bathroom award. Sorry, I did not take Bathroom Photos.

This is a nice grown up restaurant. Your children may ruling the romantic atmosphere for other customers.

The staff is well mindful of food allergies.

I will return to this restaurant to enjoy the food and vibe.

The service and ambience were perfect for our ladies night out! We did a prefix menu which was an awesome choice since we had a big group and no one needed to think much on what to order. The serving was generous and everyone enjoyed the food!

In NW Portland and craving tapas?
Definitely check out G-Love. This was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised by what came out of the kitchen — each dish somehow topped the last.

Friendly staff, casual seating, and easy street parking make it an easy choice.

Overall, a great spot to relax and enjoy some seriously tasty small plates. Enjoy!

The flavors of the food were phenomenal. The portions were tiny though. For 4 people we ordered 5 items. We each got one bite of each item. With the exception of the salad which was about 1/4 of a cup per person. The drinks were very good but pretty spendy. If you’re coming for just an appetizer and drinks this is a great spot. Plan on spending at minimum $40-50 per person. Server was nice and informative as well.
