Absolutely terrible establishment, management and ownership. I came in and grabbed a bottle. When I got to the counter, the cashier had a terrible additute and they said the price was higher than what was labeled on the shelf. I asked for the manager and they said it was labeled wrong so I asked for them to respect the mislabeling and they would not – mind you it was only a difference of ~3-4 dollars. We talked about it for 3+ minutes how mislabelled product and not respecting the labeled price is bad business and then the manager said that they had the bottle that was supposed to go there but it was in the back. That was a simple solution that could have been addressed by stocking the shelf and it would have saved my time and energy if he had just said that in the first place instead of trying to argue with me. I told them ,yes, I would like the cheaper bottle so the manager walked to the back to grab it. Before walking it to the back, the manager handed the mislabeled bottle to the security guard who had come back to be there for the conversation – I guess because he must have thought the manager couldn’t handle a simple conversation himself or he was just trying to intimidate a customer. To which the security guard then placed the bottle back in the mislabeled spot. I told him it’s not supposed to go there to which he responded “it’s been there all day” (admitting that he knew it was in the wrong spot all day and didn’t do anything about it). I told him how illogical that action/statement was and he got offended. I was simply telling him that he’s doing the wrong thing by placing the bottle back there. It seemed to me that it was an intimidation tactic so he can retain whatever false power he thought he had over the situation. Once the manager came back out with the right bottle, he saw the bottle back where it was in the mislabeled spot and he moved it up to top stock. I thanked him and as I walked up to the register told him that he needed to teach the security guard how to properly stock the shelves. As I was checking out, the security guard kept being aggressive while I was finding my payment method, so I left without purchasing. All in all, the manager doesn’t know how customer service works as he lost a customer who would have brought thousands of dollars back to his business over a simple 3-4 dollar difference. On top of that, the “thug” security guard was overly aggressive, getting in my face, and causing problems for no reason seemily escalating the situation on purpose abusing is role as an intimidation tactic to manipulate customers. On top of all that the cashier was rude and giving people dirty looks from the beginning. Never coming back every again and I’d encourage others to go to liquor stores close by instead. Don’t support trash businesses like this.

Convenient liquor store in Downtown Brooklyn, located above Jay St Metro Tech station, you can tell when a train arrives as the customers seem to come in waves. Very well stocked with an incredible selection of sparkling wines available at the front of the main aisle. Friendly staff willing to help out and provide recommendations.

Even though I come here frequently, love their selection of certain things, on 12/31/24 I was profiled. Never happened before. Don’t know why it happened. I usually go in the evening after work but this time I went during the day.
I went to the Baileys section, was clearly on FaceTime. I touched one thing to show the person on my phone but after that I was just standing there looking. Then the SECURITY GUARD came over and asked if I needed help and was really insistent. He then proceeded to stand close to me. I work in retail so I know what it looks like when you’re watching someone you’re suspicious of. But there was absolutely no need for that. Once I talked with some of the workers they tried to justify this treatment. As a Black woman surrounded by solely men of other demographics, it felt very targeted especially when I brought it to their attention and they only tried to justify his actions. They said he moves around the store all the time but I’ve never seen this happen and definitely never had one of the guards just stop where I was.
I would recommend just going to the store called The Liquor Store which is close by. Despite their name, they’re very classy, less expensive, and I’ve never been profiled.

BEWARE! Owner is running a scam and is KNOWINGLY working with thieves who purchase items in his store with stolen credit cards. I had a detective reach out about it and when questioned, he hung up on her twice and then refused to answer the phone when she called back. DO NOT use your debit or credit card with this vendor either through Seamless, Grubhub, Instacart or Minibar. You will be seriously sorry, trust me.
