One of the best pizzas I have ever had. Got a medium house special to go. Loaded with toppings, cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back! 4% credit card fee, completely worth it, support small businesses! Highly recommended

Outstanding pizza! This is my second time here. I ordered the sausage and pepperoni pizza. The Italian sausage is made onsite and boy is it tasty! The crust was crispy and not too thick. I prefer a thinner pizza and this was great. Plenty of mozzarella cheese too! Dinner side salad was ok. I also ordered the spaghetti dinner and it was a large portion with Texas Toast. Good as well. My waitress was Josie who was attentive and nice. For dessert I had Baklava. Though good it was hard on the bottom. G & D Pizzaria has a strong base of repeat customers. Friendly service and a desire by the owners and management to say hello and engage with their customers is noticed. Prices are reasonable. Expect a bit of a wait on getting your pizza when it’s busy.

Walking into G & D Pizzaria is like stepping into a story that began long before you arrived—a story rooted in first-generation Greek tradition, carried proudly since 1977, and still glowing warm in every corner of the restaurant. There’s a familiarity here, a sense of home that settles over you the moment the door opens. Everyone is greeted with the same genuine warmth, the same easy smiles, the same feeling that you’re not just a customer—you’re part of their extended table.
It’s an art form, really. Watching the team move with the kind of rhythm that only decades of family dedication can create. Hospitality isn’t a script at G & D—it’s their native language.
And the food… it’s everything you hope for when you think of a restaurant with deep roots. Honest, flavorful, comforting—built from the kind of recipes and traditions that traveled across an ocean and were perfected right here in Columbia. Every dish carries a little history, a little heart, and a whole lot of delicious.
G & D Pizzaria isn’t just a place to eat. It’s a Columbia landmark, a Greek legacy, and a home away from home for anyone who walks through their doors. A true treasure—always worth the visit, always worth the praise.

These people who post anything other than 5 stars are either the type of people that hate universally loved things or a just had a bad day. This is what every casual family restaurant should be. I travel, I’ve eaten everywhere. There are good places that aren’t great and ok places that aren’t good. This place is amazing and its like a warm sunset

I’ve been going here since I was a child, absolutely love the people who own the place, they’re always friendly and accommodating. The pizza is fantastic, the service is always outstanding and the atmosphere of being a clearly family run establishment shines through when almost every time you walk in the staff is smiling, waving and polite. Absolutely recommend this place.

Not worth the money or the wait time. Pizza is terrible, gyro is like flat cardboard! Describing their gyro made with “choice cuts of meat”, that’s a JOKE! Not sure why people keep going to this place, has to be some of the worst pizza my family has ever had. If you want a good pizza, go to Tony’s downtown. You want a gyro, Tony’s is the only place to get a gyro in Columbia, MO! Bottom line, eating at G&D Pizza is a waste of your money, time you’ll wish you could get back and the biggest regret you’ll ever have.

It’s okay. Ordered take out, felt rushed to put in an order with visible sighs when I had to pull up the menu on my phone in front of the 2 cashier guys. It was starting to get busy so I understand. Was told 15 minutes, took about 23. To me the service was subpar at best but others may feel different if you dine in. Got the house special and garlic cheese bread, didn’t know if was just 6 inch sandwich roll with melted cheese on it. Pizza was alright. With The charges on 4% credit card fees with Togo box charges, I personally don’t see myself coming back for a almost $30 small pizza and sandwich roll cheese bread( would’ve been 30 with the drink that I declined).Their takeout experience was not me. A lot of other people clearly had better luck than i had so dine with caution

I spent $90.00 on a pizza, spaghetti and cheese burger and fries. Bun was old, we had to hold the toppings on pizza to eat it. Im not sure what has happened, but its kinda gone down. People love this place because it is a staple in the community, but it just isnt like it used to be. We wont be back. God Bless.
