Right around the corner from home . This place has very good BB-Q. the best thing was the chicken..and I’m not a chicken fan. The dark meat they use is out of this world. The sauces they have to accommodate the food doesn’t overpower everything. And we were finishing up our lunch . The waitress told use they do Steak with shrimp on Fridays. So we’re definitely coming back for that. What we ordered was the sampler plate. It was enough food for my wife and myself. I got the baby back ribs and chicken. And again, the chicken was to die for. Everything else was great too. Now the collard greens. Didn’t have much flavor on them but that didn’t hurt my experience at all. I loved the fact that the BB-Q has good flavors that don’t even need bb-q sauce to make them taste good. So the sauces are an option, not a requirement to experience the food.
Update: i came back in on friday for their steak and shrimp
I asked my steak for medium rare, unfortunately, my steak was cooked to medium. I was not happy but it had good flavor. So I dropped my food rating from a 5 to a 4.

Adventure Awaits
We stopped in for dinner at this locally owned BBQ spot on the way back home after our day trip to Athens.
We ordered the sampler platter to share along with a sweet tea and a lemonade.
The sampler player came with brisket, chopped pork, ribs, Mac and cheese and beans.
The meat was tender, flavorful and enjoyable. The Mac and cheese was good but even better with a bit of salt that I added. The beans were tender and seemed ketchup based but were tasty. The tea was a bit sweet for my liking, but I’m also not southern.
We eyed the peach cobbler and apple crumble but were too full for either.
When we walked in we were greeted kindly and told we could sit anywhere we wanted to. Within just a few minutes our waitress was at our table kindly asking for our drink order. She brought chips along with cups of ice.
On the table was 4 different types of sauce, and they were all delicious in their own way.
We enjoyed each with different meats from our sampler.
The restaurant was clean with a large seating area and a great size parking lot.
They had a separate dining area with round tables that was closed off as well.
Service was quick and efficient.
I’d definitely recommend you stop at this place to eat. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We always stop here whenever our travels take us this way. I ordered the chicken plate with 2 sides. The food arrived quickly and hot. The squash casserole was the best I’ve ever eaten. The lime beans were not overcooked as at many places. I love the variety of BBQ sauces available. We enjoyed the vinegar sauce so much, we bought a bottle. Giving out a bag of chips upon arrival is simply brilliant!

The chopped brisket, lima beans, and creamed corn were all tasty, but they don’t and can’t toast the sandwich buns.
The BBQ sauces are ok, but the spicy is definitely not spicy.
The restaurant wasn’t busy. The lady at the cash register told me to take a seat and a waitress would help me, but 2 waitresses kept talking while folding silverware until I went up and asked for someone to take my order.

The barbecue was adequate. The stew was a little better than the normal that you get at these barbecue restaurants. This one actually did have a smokehouse. A quick test to check quality of barbecue is to eat the meat without any sauce. I had the brisket and it waslacking flavor. The hot barbecue sauce just hot to be hot. The sweet is sweet to be sweet and the mild is probably the best so makes a little hot with it and it’ll be OK. Probably stop again and have a barbecue sandwich. Lunch is about 15 bucks.

We ate lunch in the biggest city in Oglethorpe county the metropolis city of Crawford GA with a stop light. The BBQ plate is worth the drive. The BBQ had a great flavor, the stew was great, the coleslaw was good. It’s in the Chevy dealership their great old sigh hanging up. Good price. We will be back.

I am a frequent customer at the Crawford location, usually Sat and Sun when I am on my way to and from Masonic and Shriners meeting in Athens. This is the first time the food has been this poorly prepared. I ordered a full rack of Baby Back ribs and a double order of shrimp. My shrimp was so SALTY it was not consumable. My ribs were so tough even my little 8 y/o (who by the way LOVES the ribs there) she could not eat them and repeatedly ask… “What is wrong Daddy these are not the same ribs…” I was/am COMPLETELY dissatisfied…and I know this does not mean much but, I am going to rethink my next visit to you location…
