This place is pretty good. We went on Friday evening for the $50 all you can eat prime rib and crab legs buffet. The prime was pretty good, crab legs was a bit hard to peel but when a new batch came out , it was just fine. The other stuff on the buffet was real good also. The dessert bar was ok. They do serve alcohol. On a scale 1-10….this place was an solid 8. I would come back.

Stopped in for a late dinner (after 8pm) and ordered spicy chicken strips with fries. The strips were cooked well, but the fries were barely warm and highly salty. I did order a beer after dinner and it was good quality. Service was good, thou g h it seemed only one server was caring for the whole area (except the bar top).

Great food! Explore the buffet? Order off the menu? There is no wrong choice. There is a family friendly dining area, and a more formal one, the fireplaces set the tones for both. Wonderful staff! Pretty easy to get a table, but obviously should make a reservation for your special occasions.

This restaurant bills itself as modern and chic, but gives “pick me girl” vibes. We stayed at the Crowne Plaza, and ate all of our meals here the past two days because of the blizzard that passed through last night and this morning, so I feel I have had ample experiences to provide this review.
Pluses? Today (Wednesday) is the Italian buffet and kids eat free. Also, the bartender with the long beard makes a great old fashioned, and is the reason for the five stars for service.
Now for the negatives. Everything here is presented in a way that tries too hard to be nouveau. Classics such as Caesar salad, mozzarella sticks, and French onion soup have little twists put on them that do not actually elevate the dishes. Not only that, but there’s no hint on the menu that these little tweaks have been made. The result is something that resembles the classic dish, but tastes “off” for one reason or another. The French onion soup has added ingredients (minced garlic?) and is missing others (the crouton). The Caesar salad is served wedge-style. The mozzarella sticks are served like little disks, but because the cheese is cut flat, when it fries, the cheese becomes hard and chewy rather than melty and squeaky.
I won’t rate breakfast service because the wait staff were understaffed due to the storm and the electricity was on the fritz from the storm, but I will say that after our breakfast was brought to us, nobody came to see how our food was (we needed salt and more syrup) for over half an hour, and that was only because I had asked a different employee if they could bring us our check. I will, however, comment on our first night’s dinner service. We ate early, during their dead time (about 4:30pm) because we had been on the road all morning and were hungry. Our waitress took our order, brought our food, asked us how our food was…and then about 10-15 minutes later brought us the check and asked if we needed a to-go container. The problem was that we were still actively eating, had wanted to do dessert, and I would’ve happily sat and had another drink. There was one other person in the restaurant; it’s not like seating was at a premium and they needed us out. Not sure what all of that was about.
Ah, and dessert. My recommendation is to not order the peach cobbler. Ours took about 30-40 minutes to come out, and when we got it back up to our room, I had to turn around and go back because it was raw batter under the crust of dough. As in, like soup. The staff said this was a problem they had seen several times the day before and that they thought it had been fixed, but apparently not. The cheesecake was good, but not a replacement that sated our craving for a fruity dessert.
All in all, an average place…but they need to stop trying so hard to be avant garde and focus on taste over presentation.

Had a wonderful time at FRYE MODERN GRILL! Food was good, drinks great, and exceptional service. Our server was from Iran, so kind and fun, had a great visit with her!
The table next to us was fun! We spent our time enjoying the visit with them also! Try the fish and chips or BBQ ribs – excellent! The beautiful buffet was also an option – crab legs and prime rib galore. A bit pricey at $50/person. None of us opted for that.
I can say this was a great evening and we will return!

We ate breakfast here the morning we checked out of the Crown Plaza Hotel. The food was just okay. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak and he thought it was just okay. I was not impressed with my ham and cheddar omelette. There just wasn’t any flavor to it at all. I had to request a side of salsa verde to make it taste good. There definitely wasn’t enough cheese in it either. Service was okay. And please leave salt and pepper on the table so we don’t have to ask for it!!!

Beautiful restaurant! Service was great to watch a Broncos Game. Beef stronganoff was delicious. Kids Tenders were delicious and Alfredo was good. The rolls are amazing. Can’t forget the Long Islands!! Had a great time. The hotel is also highly recommended!

It was our first time visiting and we tried many menu items for lunch! We took our baby and it was also kid friendly during the day. We will try again for dinner soon. The service was great and the restaurant is really nice ! We were interested in the buffets they offer and might try that sometime. The price of our was very decent for the quality and amount of food we got. We are excited to come back.

We went for the crab and prime rib buffet. There was way more great food than just prime rib and crab. The appetizers were all good. The salad bar was fresh. The sides were are spectacular. The atmosphere is inviting with all the fires going. We sat on the patio and it was warm even though it was only 55 degrees outside.
