I had some amazing Jamaican food and it was full of flavor! The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice and smokiness. The rice and peas were cooked just right, and the plantains were sweet and soft. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. The portions were generous, and the whole meal left me satisfied and happy. If you love bold flavors and great Caribbean vibes, Jamaican food is definitely a must-try!
Top tier service . Very cute and elegant. Food came out piping hot and fresh. I had oxtails and jollof rice and it was soooo good . While I sat and ate I notice a line of people forming to make orders to go. I then decided I will wait till seven pm for the reverse happy hour to start at 7pm. Stay tune but come visit this place it’s right along the central expressway in Richardson right before you enter Plano Texas
I came to Fusion Kitchen for a birthday kickback on a Sunday afternoon and the whole experience was really nice. The food was good, the vibes were on point, and the decor and ambiance fit the mood perfectly. The staff was friendly and the owner even gifted our table a round of top shelf shots while promoting his upcoming events which made everything feel personal and welcoming.
My plate had highs and lows. The oxtails were the star for me. They were long cut, stewed to perfection, and the broth was so good I took it home. The greens had a good smoky flavor and the eggrolls had no meat but the sauce helped them out. The mac and cheese was my only real criticism. It tasted more like a Kraft-style base with cheese baked on top. Once I added some of that delicious oxtail broth it instantly elevated the flavor which made me wish I would have just ordered a full oxtail plate from the start.
Overall I enjoyed my time here. The service, the atmosphere, and those oxtails alone make it worth coming back. I would recommend it for a chill kickback or a casual dinner or brunch. Sam was our waitress and she was AMAZING!
Upon arrival, we were seated in a section designated as VIP. However, we were later informed that at 11:00 PM we would need to vacate our table because SWV would be seated in that section. Shortly after, we were also told that the “unlimited drinks” advertised had now been reduced to only four drinks per person.
Not to mention the ladies restroom was not functional they had plumbers there working on the restroom during a packed audience.
Another couple seated next to us expressed the same concerns. When I questioned the owner about the change, he stated that due to TABC laws they could not offer unlimited drinks. However, this contradicts what was clearly advertised. If there were legal limitations, that should have been communicated upfront rather than changing the terms after guests had already paid and arrived. The advertisement felt misleading, and it was unfair to collect payment under one promise and deliver something entirely different.
The discussion escalated unnecessarily, as the owner began arguing with both myself and another guest regarding the advertisement. Following that exchange, service noticeably declined. Drinks and appetizers took an excessive amount of time to arrive. As more guests arrived, many voiced similar frustrations regarding the misleading promotion.
The entire evening felt chaotic and uncomfortable. Some guests did not receive their food at all and were told the restaurant had run out of salmon, which was listed as a featured entrée. However, approximately 45 minutes later, I personally observed a server delivering a salmon entrée to another table.
Overall, this was not the romantic, organized Valentine’s experience that was advertised or expected. We left feeling extremely disappointed. This is not a venue we would recommend for a special occasion, particularly one as meaningful as Valentine’s Day.
The lounge was also a great vibe, just not great for talking. There was karaoke, drinks, line dancing, hookah, a great balance between fun party vibes and a chill lounge. I’d go there for a birthday celebration with friends, for sure.
Bring your crew and come have a cute brunch. And they had a good DJ who played hits. If it was packed I would definitely given it 5 stars. I’ll come back and update it.
Now let’s talk about the food — every dish was incredible. The flavors were bold, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. You can truly taste the authenticity in every bite. Everything came out hot, well-portioned, and clearly made with care.
The drinks were just as impressive. They were refreshing, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the meal. Whether you’re going for something tropical or something strong and smooth, they absolutely deliver.
What really stood out was the overall experience..great service, amazing food, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay and enjoy every moment. It’s the perfect spot for a night out, a celebration, or just treating yourself to something delicious.
Honestly, this is some of the best food in the entire DFW area. If you love Afro-Caribbean cuisine or want to try something new, you will not be disappointed. I’ll definitely be back!
