Although I didn’t fancy the spicy mayo nor the eel sauce, the sushi was excellent. The ingredients were fresh, and you can truly taste the quality. I’ll definitely return the next time I’m in the area.

While we’re not connoisseurs, my wife and I have had sushi many times, from the UP of Michigan to south Florida and points between. This is still probably the best sushi we’ve had. 2-fer Tuesdays make it a great value, as well. Owner/chef has always been polite and accommodating when we’ve ordered or picked up. Hidden gem in Bay City.

If you ask my friends and family then you know I eat sushi almost weekly and I have been to many sushi places in MI. Whenever we travel as well I always make sure to stop and get sushi! I went to Fusion 1 Cafe many many years ago for the all you can eat sushi and it was amazing then. I recently started going back a few times for the buy one get one free on Tuesdays! While I can’t make it as often as I’d like, I enjoy the options each time I order on Tuesday! I love the spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and the Philadelphia roll. They are simple but fresh and tasty ingredients that keep me coming back!

Nice atmosphere, wait staff is kind. I love the little space it’s in, though I can see busy times being frustrated if you just stopped in. Very consistent sushi rolls, I had the all you can eat for 20 on Thursdays. The salad was unique and delicious. The miso soup is definitely the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.

Update on 10/19:
Cant praise Fusion enough. I love the staff as much as the food.

If you are a sushi lover, Fusion Cafe is exceptional! Being our first time here, we went all out. We ordered chicken skewers to start, they were delicious. Then we tried 3 different varieties of sushi to split up and they did not disappoint. They have a nice beer and drink selection too. Service was excellent and it’s a very nice clean place.

Definitely a restaurant to enjoy. The food was excellent. The tomato basil soup was probably the best I’ve ever had. The Cajun beef tips were melt in your mouth delicious. Tender with just the right amount of chewyness. The service was good and friendly and the chef was outgoing and friendly. I will definitely be back and will invite my family too

Cozy, romantic upscale resteraunt tucked away by Bay City’s waterfront. Famous for the all-you-can-eat sushi. Has a full menu as well. Also open for lunch, but hours of operation can discourage you. Call ahead. Reservations are definitely recommended. Food comes out slowly as their theory on meals is food should be an experience, not fast. The bananas foster is big enough to satisfy three. Well worth the wait.

I didn’t want to leave this review I’ve actually loved this place for the last 8 years I’ve known about it. I actually thought the owner and his wife were very nice people. Apparently I was wrong, I still love the food but will never spend here again! I was treated extremely rude over the phone by the owner. And I order quite a bit over the phone on Tuesdays! I literally said “UM” in between the rolls for my order and he put the phone down and said I didn’t have my order ready, but didn’t even give me two seconds to get it out. When he came back to the phone I simply said I was saying the other roll but that he’d walked away already. So he just hung up in my face. So I assumed we just got disconnected and tried to call back to place my order and he wouldn’t even answer. That broke my heart because I love this place. I’ve recommended this place to so many friends and to be cast aside like that. I really hope it was all a huge misunderstanding but the rich usually don’t care how they treat consumers and it’s sad. May god bless you and your wife sir but I really hope you can be a bit more patient with others that was uncalled for and a slap in the face to a loyal customer. Peace!
