NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — This week, the Eat It Up crew crossed the Arkansas River into Dogtown to try the newest pizza spot in Argenta.

Overall this place is a joy. Uniquely creative and delicious menu with a nice fusion twist combining pizza and northeast African island flavors and vibes.
The atmosphere and decor is cozy and puts the funk in “Funky Stretch” with wall to wall hand painted murals, hanging plants, and an amazing bar top.
We’ve visited a few times, and one thing that stands out is everyone in our group has something different they enjoyed the most. One of our party declared it their new home for great wings. Another mentioned the “Hokou” (beef curry) pizza was the most creative pizza in the state. Another tried the “Disco Inferno” cocktail… then tried it again… and again… and… you get the idea. Myself, I’ve already become a sycophant for the “Lost in Space Shrimp” sandwich with cucumber salad and will proselytize its virtue to the hungry masses. A shrimp dish in a landlocked state… if you pull that off, you’ve got something special.
PROS:
– friendly and knowledgeable staff
– food prepared quickly and expertly
– pricing seems fair and “value for money” that you can enjoy on the regular without breaking the bank
– menu is uniquely creative and you can tell the owners put a lot of their passion and family heritage into it
– small but “covers all the bases” selection of draft beer, wine, spirits, and great cocktail menu
– very cozy and fun atmosphere
– creative and fun presentation of dishes (like serving some of the apps in the paper chinese takeaway boxes for example)
CONS: (very few, and these will likely go away when the locals figure it out)
– kiosk-style ordering at bar at times leads to long lines with patrons not really sure where to stand while waiting, causing existing diners to struggle to push through the line to get to the drink station, bar, napkins and condiments, restrooms, etc. and lends to extra wait when attempting to tab out
– maybe just a personal preference, but while the cook on the dough is shear perfection (light, airy, crispy outside, pillowy inside), we thought it was missing a bit of that nice fermented flavor

Super new restaurant so the wait time was to be expected. The pizza was amazing. We got the Gugu and it was perfect. Super saucy, super cheesy, perfect meat to pizza ratio. The dough is fluffy and soft, melts in your mouth. The sushi wings were tasty, crispy, and juicy the perfect wings. I can’t wait to see how this place grows.

What a fun, unique, delicious experience!! Restaurant is cute, decorated funky & fun! Food took me by surprise, the potsticker pizza & gugu pizza were amazing – talk about explosion of flavors, and that shyah shrimp were next level!! Excited to come back and try new items!! 10/10

Awesome, unique selection of pizza and other fun foods! Arguably the best pizza in the Little Rock area (my 4 year old even agrees!). The dough was somehow stretchy and soft but also crispy! Delicious. Family friendly with games outside, fast service, and adult beverages.

This place was excellent. The menu seems unserious at first, but the flavors are unique and innovative but in a cheeky, unpretentious way. The pizza dough is above and beyond any I’ve had in town yet. Fresh and light. Patio is great. Parking was easy for us. Not sure during a busier time.
