Great food, great coffee! I had “The GOAT” and a cappuccino. The cappuccino was fluffy and delicious. I also had “The GOAT” which was a special. Not sure if they still have it but yall should add that to the menu that was bomb!

Don’t hold back on the hollandaise guys …. You may have put too much.. oh wait …. Took 15 mins of me standing at the POS system for anyone to even say hi let alone take my order . They weren’t crazy busy either . Ever since new owners I feel like the service and food has been poor.

Easily the best breakfast burrito available in the 30 mile area and perhaps the best we’ve had in a decade, absolutely perfectly made with delicious ingredients and stuffed to the brim without a single drop dripping out. Found a new restaurant that’s welcoming and very friendly. Followed by excellent service, with a lot of attention to you and the details of your order.
With that being said I have worked my way thru their menu and have been very pleased with everything I’ve ordered. It’s all fresh, made to order with large portions. Also, all the desserts are made on sight which I have tried again and again.
It’s nice to have found a restaurant like this.
If you have the opportunity to go eat there, do not hesitate!!! You won’t be disappointed!!!

I ordered the egg Benedict and was disappointed. The hollandaise sauce was not very good and the biscuit was soggy. The home fries were not flavorful either. I had to add a lot of salt, pepper and hot sauce to give any flavor to the dish. Finally , the dish was served on a plastics plate with plastic utensils.

Funcle’s Café!!! Our favorite brunch spot to start our day! They take such care in the delivery of their food. We always find ourselves giving compliments to the chef. The ingredients are always fresh making the dish so good. I’ve had lots of items on their menu but my favorite is their French Toast and Eggs Benedict. The Avocado Toast loaded is always great too. Even a simple egg and cheese on a bagel is so well put together. Thanks to Allison, one of the owners, she gave me a sample of the frozen mocha coffee which turned out to be something I order now every time I come! It’s so good!

I had heard great things about Funcle’s, and I’m so happy we finally made a visit! Their frozen coffee is really a game changer, and my boyfriend loved that his eggs Benny came with prosciutto. It was recommended to me to get the Cali Gal, which was off-menu at the time, but sometimes appears as a special. The combo of avocado, onions, hash brown, and the egg made it a savory, delicious breakfast sandwich that I would definitely order again. Their cinnamon roll and chocolate chip cookie scones were also fantastic! The staff was great, and we were happy to have snagged a table here. Definitely a must-stop if you’re in the Hamden area for breakfast!

Really like their matcha green tea. Their chicken and waffles are very good. The avocado toast with poached egg is very messy so beware. Prices are a bit steep for me personally. Will probably go back for the beverages only. Suggest eating everything there while it’s fresh. Although the chicken and waffles were ok microwaved. The Philly cheesestake was only ok.

The dining room was adorable and comfortable. The food was delicious. I had the eggs Benedict, and everything was amazing – The eggs were cooked beautifully, the hollandaise was super tasty, the potatoes were crispy and well seasoned. Easily the best breakfast I’ve had since moving back to CT about a year ago.
I also ordered the frozen matcha drink. It was good, really rich, but not super strong on the matcha flavor.
