Fun Station is a fun spot with lots of interesting dishes to choose from. We ordered the liver noodle soup, and it was awesome, comforting, flavorful, and definitely a standout for us.

We also tried the stir-fried intestines, which unfortunately had a smell and wasn’t really to our taste. That said, we know dishes like this can be very personal, so it just wasn’t for us.

We did enjoy the other items we ordered, including the noodles shumai and spring rolls, which were tasty and satisfying. We also noticed their popular noodle bowl presentation where the noodles are lifted by chopsticks, it looks so cool! We didn’t order it this time, but we’re definitely planning to try it on our next visit.

Overall, we’d still come back to try other dishes. The menu is unique, and there’s clearly a lot worth exploring.

Excellent Chinese restaurant that serves a variety of dishes. Their iced milk tea is on of the best in Honolulu area. They serve lunch and dinner and everything in between. Highly recommended if you crave for authentic Chinese dishes.

Beef brisket with wonton noodle soup: ⅘ noodles and broth were good. Beef was ok, wontons were good. Don’t bother taking left overs home. The noodles disintegrate in the broth overnight.

Beef brisket & tendon noodle soup: ⅘ tender was good.

Crispy spareribs with rice: ⅗ crispy but sauce is too sweet.

Garlic choy sum: 5/5 good healthy fresh veggies.

Very good neighborhood Chinese restaurant in a strip mall, with the best beef in a Beef Chow Fun, tender and done to perfection. The Wonton soup is bland and adding noodles makes it more so. The Fried Spring Roll is light and tasty with a tangy sauce. Service was excellent. The interior is clean and simple.

Fun Station – A Mixed Bag of Flavors

Stopped by Fun Station with high hopes and mixed results. The Beef Chow Sun is an absolute winner – I’d give it a solid 9.5/10 and would recommend it to anyone craving a delicious meal. The Crispy Pork Spirits were also impressive, scoring a 9/10.

However, the Minute Chicken with Cake Noodles was a bit disappointing. The noodles were far from crispy, and the overall flavor fell flat compared to other dishes I’ve tried.

Pro tip: Check in on Yelp and grab their amazing deal – 6 mini sesame balls for just $1.50! These little treats are definitely worth it.

Service was decent, and the menu offers good variety. While not every dish hit the mark, there are definitely some standout options that make Fun Station worth a visit.

Recommended: Beef Chow Sun, Crispy Pork Spirits, Sesame Balls
Skip: Minute Chicken with Cake Noodles

Tip: Come hungry and ready to explore the menu!

Update: we’ve returned again with friends from mainland. We tried several different dishes, such as bitter Mellon with eggs, thousand year old egg porridge, fish egg fun, flying noodles with beef and stir-fries Chinese broccoli (芥蘭)。 They were all very good and the service here remained friendly and caring.

This is a great find in a tiny neighborhood strip mall, mere minutes from Waikiki. After today’s lunch, this place ranks as my favorite Chinese restaurant in Honolulu for comfort food. It serves Chaozhou styled food with a lot of stewed dishes (潮洲滷味)and other Cantonese dishes. We had the pork belly & intestine combo rice and chicken over cake noodle. The intestines were fried to perfection and the stewed pork was also very tasty, all served with fresh Chinese greens over a heap of rice. The chicken over cake noodle was also very tasty and we haven’t seen anything like it in Hawaii or California. For starter/desert, we tried the sesame cake balls that were delicious as well. The parking can be tight, but you should be able to find a space. The service was very friendly and quick. We are definitely coming back since it’s only a few minutes drive from home and so many items on the menu that we’d like to try.

This spot is a great option for both lunch and dinner. Whenever my friend and I are in the area and craving Chinese food—especially noodles—this place is one of our top choices. We always enjoy the flying noodles or the mixed wide noodles—they’re such a flavorful combo. We also tried the Brine Mixed Plate and Crispy Spareribs, which are perfect for sharing if you’re in the mood for something meatier. Highly recommend!

Straightforward, authentic, and very delicious. Flavor was excellent and our three dishes were all very well cooked. Cabbage with the pork belly was especially outstanding. Squab was a first for us and really nicely cooked. Noodles with beef were addictive. Good serving sizes. Price was more than some other Chinese restaurants, but quality was higher as well.

The pork liver soup is absolutely amazing. Also, there’s a ton of pork, all perfectly tender and not overdone, in this soup. I got added, for a fee, some vegetables. My companion got the chicken fried rice and it was nice and mild and filling, and very subtly flavorful, too. Service is attentive, but doesn’t hover, which is good.
Also, there was no loud, annoying music playing. Yay.
Quite a number of tables, probably about 10 in total, but the restaurant gets busy later, as the evening passes. Byob !

Met the owner on the night we were eating, he definitely put his heart in this restaurant. Excellent food, especially their home made fish ball and beef stew. Favor wise excellent, our baby love their fun noodles, chewy but tasty. The portions were a good amount for the price. If you looking for a unique Chinese restaurant this will definitely be your spot. Highly recommend this location and we will be back the next time we visit Honolulu!
