I ordered a steak well-done, but what I received was completely undercooked, very pink in the middle. I never eat steak anything less than well-done, and this was nowhere close.
When I called to make a complaint and asked for a refund, the manager refused. Instead, I was told my only options were to drive 30–40 minutes back so they could “recook” the same steak, or accept a small discount on a future meal. Neither option was reasonable given that the mistake was entirely on their end.
I paid for a well-done steak, and I did not receive what I ordered. On top of that, the customer service was dismissive and unhelpful. It shouldn’t be this difficult for a restaurant to take accountability for a clear mistake.
I definitely won’t be returning.

Went day after Christmas. Was not very busy. However, server was very knowledgeable and took very accurate orders, which surprised me since he did not write anything down. The food was amazing. Served hot and extremely flavorful. The only exception was it seemed to me that it was pricey. I live in the DMV, and comparing what I normally would pay for four adults was a little more than normal. Would go again, however. I do recommend a try if you are from out of town.

We decided to stop by Fumi for a quick sushi lunch and the experience was perfect. Our server, Ryan was excellent. He was attentive, professional and refreshing break the norm… poor service! Highly recommend the Bubba Gump and the Spider Rolls. The house salad was delicious and love the creamy ginger dressing.

food wasnt anything special and neither were the drinks. we were seated and forgotten about. a food runner who i dont even think was a server noticed finally that we were never waited on and finally took our orders. food came quick but wasnt anything you cant find at any local hibachi spot. service took so long by the time my SECOND drink came out we were already finished eating. sucks because this place looked cute inside and wouldve liked to had a good experience

I will start by saying. I normally don’t write reviews. However, I am writing this review because I have always enjoyed dining at FUMI. It’s been a while though. My recent experience here was disappointing. I ordered hibachi shrimp and scallops. I noticed the portion has decreased and their prices have increased. I wasn’t so excited about it. Also, the hibachi chef chopped up my scallops which I had never seen done before. I didn’t see how many scallops I should have gotten. I can say the sushi was good. The chef used the same utensils to cook everything. Raw chicken, steak, shrimp. That’s concerning. I think I will stick to Volcano Steak and Sushi. I hope management will do a better job training their staff.

It’s an good spot to satisfy your sushi cravings and to go out with friends. Service was friendly. Atmosphere it’s a bit loud and the light could be enhanced for comfort. It’s too white/blue.
Service was fast for us although somewhat busy. There’s a hibachi side that I’m curious about. It’s always packed full. I’ve only visited the regular dining side because it tends to always have availability and it’s not as busy. They have their own parking lot, it’s busy but I’ve always managed to find a spot.

We came here just as lunch was practically over but the food and service was great! Our server was very knowledgeable and didn’t make us feel rushed at all! I must say I liked it without all the people and the food came out very quick! We always get hot sake and our waiter told us the brand and how to do it ourselves he was super great! Fumi is fairly priced and we will definitely return!!

I was very impressed with the atmosphere. It’s very nicely decorated and a little more upscale than I expected when I went for the first time. It’s my favorite hibachi place I’ve been to thus far in the Duluth area, and it was decently good but not mind blowing! I did the dining room experience.
