We came here just as lunch was practically over but the food and service was great! Our server was very knowledgeable and didn’t make us feel rushed at all! I must say I liked it without all the people and the food came out very quick! We always get hot sake and our waiter told us the brand and how to do it ourselves he was super great! Fumi is fairly priced and we will definitely return!!

I have been here a ton of times over the past two years. I never come for hibachi since I don’t eat meat. I sit at the sushi bar. I like the ambiance of this place and the sushi boat for two is sooo good!!

Amazing place, in the surrounding areas there is not a place that can compete with Fumi. The ingredients are extremely fresh you can taste the difference with other Japanese restaurants or sushi places. The creativity of the chefs and the people who made the menu is also beyond what most places in Atlanta have to offer, its like going to be a popular sushi spot in NYC or LA, maybe even better. The prices are pretty standard for sushi, and the quantity is good, we have been a few times and have tried both the hibachi and the sushi both equally good. We have also gotten takeout before and it travels well. Its also a very popular spot especially on the weekends, considering it is Duluth, its surprising to see the parking lot be full like a restaurant in Buckhead or Iron Age, its that popular. Really surprising that Duluth can offer such flavors and honestly it is worth a trip from Atlanta even, the environment of the restaurant is pretty upscale and classy feeling. Great option for a special occasion, seems like there are a lot of those at the restaurant on weekends, or take out for a good tasting meal, very much worth the price tag and we will be coming here regularly.

We came here for a special occasion. It was my Aunt’s birthday. Everything was going good until the chef came out. He was rude and unhappy about catering guests. He cursed in front of my kids and talked about himself the entire time. We never was asked about our special occasion. My kids ordered tempera shrimp and they got 2 shrimp and some tempera vegetables. The apple juice was $4 without refills. I didn’t say anything because he was already cursing about other guests and he was cooking our food. Still trying not to ruining my aunt’s birthday we stayed positive towards the chef although i was very disappointed as I watch the other chefs entertain guest by doing volcanoes, egg tosses and singing happy birthday. We got one fire and some knife tossing. Very disappointing. He proceeded to say he gets paid a salary therefore he doesn’t get tips so we would need to tip him directly if we ask for him in our next visit. And the food wasn’t good. It was too salty. People go the hibachi to be entertained. That’s not what we got. We didn’t even get good food. There will not be a next visit.

I called a day in advance to book a reservation for my daughter’s birthday party. They were coming in at 4:30pm before the dinner rush, so I asked specifically if they could have their own table.

Came here after work and sat at the bar. I had a lychee martini (it was pretty strong and tasty), the angel roll, Bakuta roll and fried gyoza. Everything was good but the angel roll was my favorite. The atmosphere and bartenders were nice and inviting. I would definitely come back for a happy hour during the week. I’ve also been here for a hibachi dinner and enjoyed the experience and food!

Just moved to Gwinnett and wanted some Syshi and Hibachi. Read the reviews online and wanted to try it out. Friday was obviously one of their busy nights however I was seated within 15 minutes. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was the Hibachi cook assigned to our table. He didn’t remove charded spots on the grill but proceeded to cook on them in which gave my shrimps and scallops a burnt tasted. The plum punch drink is a must have if you like plum wi e with a twist. I love rhe sushi and I will definitely be returning to enjoy more food and sushi from the menu.
