Nice seafood restaurant in a strip mall in Concord. Everyone was nice. Atmosphere was nice. I ordered the Seafood Mornay minus the broccoli. The dish was delicious, I really liked their garlic bread. The scallops and shrimp was cooked perfectly. The potatoes were okay and the coleslaw I wasn’t a fan of. On my next visit I want to try the Chargrilled lemon pepper oysters it sounds delicious.

Visiting from out of town, we chose Full Moon Oyster Bar because once I read the menu online and saw it, I had to have the Crawfish and Alligator Cheesecake. Let me tell ya, it did not disappoint! Our party of five was greeted and seated immediately after a space was cleaned at the bar. The atmosphere is a friendly bar vibe with a young staff that met all our needs all through dinner. Music played from speakers throughout our meal which was slightly problematic for our older group members who had trouble hearing. A pitcher of Yeungling to start us off and then we ordered ½ dozen fresh oysters which were huge and shucked right in front of us. You just can’t get any fresher than that unless you’re sitting on the dock. Kissed by the sea, right there at the bar. Along with the oysters, we got the calamari, which was some of the best calamari I’ve ever had. I order calamari most every place that has it on the menu. This was lightly breaded, served on a bed of delicious seaweed, and dressed with a delightful sweet and spicy Asian inspired sauce. Now to The Cheesecake. Lord have mercy, my greedy spirit dove into this decadent appetizer with all the gusto of anticipation I’ve had since first reading the menu. Absolutely delicious! This was one of the most unique and savory foods I’ve ever had. What a treat. I also ordered the steamed clams, which were good too, ever so slightly chewy, but still ok. I probably wouldn’t order those again just because I’d want that cheesecake. My dinner companions ordered the Mooners Fry Basket, the Filet Migon (perfectly medium rare as ordered), the Seafood Risotto, which I tried found it to be exquisite (Cruise ship quality), and the Salmon, which was tender, not dried out. Overall, it was an excellent choice of restaurant not knowing the area or where to eat and we will be back for more of that divine Crawfish and Alligator Cheesecake. I’m fangirling all over that! Five stars, 100% recommend!

We can’t brag enough on this place! The food and staff were awesome. I live 2 hours from here and this is one spot we will be returning to again. Did I say the staff was awesome? They were super friendly and attentive. Their bar menu and specials are on point. Go check them out!

I usually come here on Monday’s for the oyster specials. This past Monday, I had came in with my usual group and got about 50 oysters, a shrimp risotto and the clam linguine and the blue crab dip. The food here is really good and we love it. I’ve come back at least 5-6 times and have recommended to a couple of my friends who love oysters.

My previous visits I used to have an awesome server and he was very attentive, always gave me refills and made sure I was good on the horse radish and cocktail sauce.

We had two servers one Monday and one of them was not very attentive and seemed like she had an attitude the whole time she was serving us. That made the mood and environment of our dinner very underwhelming and not as enjoyable as it used to be on my previous visits. I had to ask for the side of potato’s and coleslaw this time when our food came out. Usually they would ask at the beginning before I even got the food. The other server, she had a purple shirt, she was super nice. I would’ve tipped her directly if I could.

I also found out that you get charged MORE when you use a card. If I had paid cash, I would’ve saved almost $4-5. I think it’s absurd that there is no where listed on the bill saying that there was a credit card surcharge when I could’ve just paid cash.

5 stars for the food.

This place was fantastic. I was able to get my oyster fix. I didn’t order an entree and just went with a few small dishes.

The oyster’s were from Jamestown 5/5. They were nice and fresh. They were a little sweet, a little briney, salty and delicious. Their condiments for the oyster’s were lemon, horseradish and Tabasco hot sauce. Would have loved to have a vinaigrette with shallots too.

Bacon wrapped scallops was 4/5. The bacon was nice and crispy, but the scallops had no color. I was hoping for some type of sear on the scallops and was just a tad under salted. The scallops doneness was great and very tender.

Ahi Seared Tuna was so good. Beautiful presented with seared exterior, sesame seeds and raw interior. Besides the oyster’s this was my favorite dish of the night. The texture of the sesame seed was nice with the tender tuna. It was served with spicy mayo, but I would’ve loved just having soy sauce with this as well. All and all 5/5 for me.

My wife got the seafood mornay. Whew, it was delicious. The sauce was thinner, but tasted amazing. The shrimp and the scallops we perfectly cooked. Super tender and juicy. It was mouth watering good, 5/5.

For desert we got the orange creamsicle cake and the Alligator crawfish cheese cake.

The orange creamsicle cake was ok. The frosting was hard because it came right out of the cooler. The cake was a bit stiff because of the same reason. It probably would have been phenomenal fresh or warmed up a bit, but this was a little bit of a let down. 3/5

Turns out the alligator crawfish cheese cake is not really a dessert. It’s hot and savory. Better as an appetizer and the name was a bit deceiving, but it is in the appetizer section and not the actual desert section on the menu. It was phenomenal though. Loved the chunks of crawfish with a nice bit of crust and gooey, creamy, hot interior. 5/5 for sure.

Service was slow, because they didn’t have enough people working on a Sunday night. It was busy, which is awesome, but let’s get our awesome servers some help out here. We loved our server when we were able to get time with her, but I couldn’t give it a 5 star because we were idle more then I would like to admit. Great, nice people who were all working hard to help everyone, but they just need more people back there.

I’ve been to Full Moon Oyster Bar many times, and it continues to be one of my go-to spots thanks to its fun, lively atmosphere and consistently excellent service. The staff always makes you feel taken care of—they’re fast, friendly, and really know their stuff. Every visit feels welcoming, and that’s a big reason I keep coming back.

As for the oysters, they can be hit or miss depending on the size. I’ve noticed that the larger oysters aren’t as flavorful, while the smaller ones tend to have a richer, brinier taste—but there usually aren’t many small ones available. It’s nothing major, just something I’ve picked up over multiple visits.

Overall, Full Moon Oyster Bar remains a great spot that I still frequent. The atmosphere and service alone make it worth it, and when you get the right oysters, it’s even better. Highly recommend giving it a try!

I visited Full Moon Oyster Bar – Concord for the first time this evening, and I enjoyed it so much. I met my best friend whom I hadn’t seen in person in nearly a year.

This restaurant was the perfect backdrop to our reunion. We shared “The Full Moon” entree: FANTASTIC! We had a few drinks. That margarita — my favorite drink — was the best one I’ve had in a while. My friend enjoyed her martini, which was garnished with giant green olives.

I didn’t think I’d like the bar seating, but I did. However, the vertically challenged (aka ‘short people’) must high jump to sit on the stools.

It was a great night, and I will definitely visit this restaurant again!

The build your own boil is a joke. $20 for a cluster of snow crab legs, at first sounds reasonable. However, upon receiving the boil, the cluster was the smallest legs I’ve ever seen. Even the Chinese buffet crab legs are bigger than what came in this meal. The seasoning was good, the corn on the cob was good, the bread and potatoes were also good. I left paying $26.75 and hungry still. I asked about the weight, and they said they don’t weigh snow crab legs it’s just by the cluster, and sometimes they are tiny like mine was.
Having worked in a restaurant, if I had been the waiter, I would have warned my guest of this possibility. I did have a bucket of saltine crackers sitting there that I had several packs of trying to supplement being hungry still after the tiny bit of meat in the legs.
In the end, I paid with 2 $20 bills. The waiter shorted the change back by $3. He also did it to my friend who was with me. I advised him of this, and he said, “Oh yeah, I know what I did.” He then went and got the rest of the change. That was so incredibly odd.
The vibe and seating was neat as least.
I won’t be returning, needless to say.
